If you guys can remember Nate Marshall, I lived near him and attended a summer program with him where I kicked his ass in the talent show two years in a row.

He's gotten a lot better since then, however.

Piano-playing Scott MacIntyre's pop star journey came to an end Wednesday night, as he became the latest contestant to be eliminated on "American Idol." Visually impaired since birth, the Arizona native had inspired fans and the judges as the show's first handicapped contestant. But the singer's low-key demeanor both on and off the stage ultimately failed to garner enough of a following among viewers. Scott just didn't have enough pizzazz and showmanship to keep up with his more naturally engaging and exciting fellow competitors.

Damn I didn't see this thread before. I would have lost anyway. It was sad to see him go even though I didn't think he was very good. I didn't even know he was blind till last night. I guess you can tell I hadn't followed the show very well. I have gotten to the point where I start watching when the battle begins.

I will keep my eyes open for the next bet though. Hell I don't really have anything else to do with these grams, might as well win more or lose some...no biggie.

I don't watch the show (seriously, I don't) but my mother says that this Adam fella has got it wrapped up. Momma's never steered me wrong before, so I'm going with 500 on him.

It's for the winner. And hopefully the public will vote for the most deserving contestant. IMO that's Adam. He's got the whole package-voice, control, stage presence, his own style. He's ready to record and doesn't need any coaching on singing, song style, or choice of what to record.

I agree with you that Adam is great but Allison is pretty good too. Those are the two I hope make it to the end. From there I don't know. I guess I will see when the time comes.
