1/1 Odds?

What is the point of betting on something that has 1/1 odds? At best, you get your own money back.

Well, no. If you bet on something with one to one odds (as is usually tha case with a point spread bet) then you get back your bet, plus a matching win...i.e.: if you bet 100 on Pittsburgh and they win, plus cover tha spread, you will receive 200 in return.

If you bet on a 1/2, then you would recieve 100 for every 200 you put in. A 6/5 bet would net you 600 for every 500 you put in and so on/so forth. I will not(could not?) put up a bet that wouldn't allow you to actually win anything...what's tha point in that??
