I'm with you on this London business. Hockey should be played where the teams are from. They are just alienating their fans by leaving to play games. If I lived in LA and was a Kings fan (for whatever reason) I'd feel insulted that my team won't play for their fans especially on the opening night of the season. All these preseason games away from home is somewhat acceptable because who gives a crap about preseason, but once you get to the season this kind of thing is out of the question.

yea i think the nfl is thinking of doing there first few games in London, and the mlb doing opening night in japan. taking away a home game, and making the teams travel absurd distances to play one game.
London makes no sense for American football, they like soccer and cricket and rugby over there why take a home game away from a football team(there are only 8). The NFL Europe failed for a reason.
The NHL was better with just the original 6 teams, now its so watered down i cant even follow how many new teams are propping up in the DESERT. At the same time taking more teams away from Canada where the sport is the most popular!! Quit thinking about how many games you can show in Europe and try to win back the old school informed fans. The NHL has more talent than ever before, yet they don't even want to showcase it.

I read in The Hockey News yesterday that Jerry Bruckheimer (the movie producer) has a bid for a team in Vegas but the NHL commissioner said "While we're not dealing with an expansion as a formal process right now, we're listening to what people have to say." It would be the worst thing ever if they expanded even more. I thinik, and I think most hockey fans would agree, that 30 teams is more than enough. If the NHL wants to make any changes to the teams they should start moving teams to areas where more people will give a shit. I mean there are three teams in New York and three in California already. There's a team in Nashville for god's sake. They should move a few more teams to Canada. I mean theres more teams in New York and California than all of Canada, and they LOVE the game. They're born with hockey sticks in their hand!

p.p.s. I just checked the NHL website and it says theres 12 games on today. Yesterday when I checked this was the only one up. Seeing as how I already put all my grams in one basket (the ducks) it doesn't matter much to me but just letting you know theres more games tonight. ~Tim
