I was at a party last week and this really cool guy taught me how to roll a joint inside out. He had been to Amsterdam many times, and knew what he was doing. I didn't think it was that special, but after smoking the extremely large joint he had rolled I was impressed. The joint burned perfectly even, and the ash didn't collect at the end (one thing that pisses me off).

This is only my second attempt at doing this, and it is more of a demonstration than a perfect example. I thought it was kind of a cool trick to show your friends (which I did, much to there amusement ), and since your all my friends I figured I'd share. Enjoy.

Comparison of the two rolling techniques:


As you can see, the gum is closest to you instead of away from you. Make sure when your rolling the joint that the gum is also facing outside from where your weed is going.



Roll your joint as you usually would, making it cylinder and all that jazz. When you got it right, your going to want very carefully lick the gum, and fold it underneath the 'flap'. An alternative to licking the gum, is to lick the part of the paper that the gum will be coming in contact with, seeing as it takes some skill to roll with a quasi-wet paper. Also, you can just dip your finger in water (which I find easier actually). Make sure that puppy is tight! If it's all loose, start over- no sense in rolling a shitty joint. As you can see in the picture I had had one previous attempt before this one. Practice makes perfect!



You see the flap there? Thats the excess paper you're smoking. Yeah, I know big deal . Cut it off with some scissors and you should end up with a joint with a 'uniform wrap' around the weed (that is no overlapping paper).



Well, there ya go, an inverted rolled joint. Pretty spiffy. But wait another cool trick? Smash the end of the joint, I usually put it carefully against something flat and spin it to make the end flattened.

If you very carefully burn the edges of the lip of the crushed top you can easily take off the top of the joint, allowing for a perfect light up - (instead of inhaling a puff of paper, or burning it and hoping it doesn't 'run/canoe/whathaveyou')

I just smoked the joint to my head in celebration and I am thoroughly stoned, was an excellent toke I must say.

What do you think? Me and my buddies always have joint rolling contests (fastest and best quality), and I usually win, although I love having new tricks up my sleeve! Does anyone else have any cool rolling tricks to share?

P.S. Yes, that's one of my books I use in college. haha

Wow I've never seen that before. That is really cool Spiral Ever since you mentioned it in that other thread I've been impatiently waiting for you to post pictures and explain it lol. I'm definitely gonna try this the next time I roll a J.

Or u can burn off the extra paper. Try lighting from the mouth-end, it will burn to the soon to be lit-end. Once it gets here, try to light it with the flame already made by burning off the extra paper. Pretty cool trick.

You know, that looks kind of difficult. But it just may be something I might try. My joints come out shitty enough as it is, they couldn't get much worse, I guess.

Well, I should elaborate. They smoke just perfectly, don't canoe or anything, burn straight through like a machine rolled cigarette. But they just look ugly as fuck for some reason. I'm retarded or something, I can't make them nicer. Maybe that's why I should try this way. Of course, when I'm running late for school and trying to roll up a couple of quick joints to smoke on the way, I probably won't have time for a new method. I'll give it a go sometime anyway.

What do you mean ugly as fuck?

I've seen some weird joints, but as long as they are full of cheeba, they are beautiful in my eyes.

Also, Rick I signed up for GardensCure just for that. I'm trying to view the website but it won't let me scroll down the entire page, probably because my account hasn't been activated by an administrator, like it said it would.

Either way, his style does look just like mine, except he seems like the real pro. Apparently anyone who is anyone smokes their joints like this in europe.
