Getting a new camere, help wanted.

So I'm looking to get a new camera and was looking at the Nikon coolpix p90. Does anyone have one or has used one and can help me out. From what I've seen and read it looks great. And not extreamly expensive either.

Im trying to stay as much under 400 as possible because that's the avg price for most in the super zoom class.

But I had been reading reviews and most said that the Canon PowerShot SX10IS had better pictures and video. It has a little less zoom. But I'm mostly looking for great pictures with a decent zoom.

What do you all think about that camera. Anyone have one?

That one is just a little out of my price range. I've kind of ruled out the SLR's just ecause they are a bit more expensive. I'm more just looking at the superzooms.

yah my dad is a profeshinal photographer and im use to all the veryy expensive shit he has i geuss... like the 5D, siccccck camera, and he has lence that worth more than the camera himself... its crazy... good luck finding that camra though.

I just got a DSLR today. The Olympus E-520. It's a great camera. I paid $480 for the body and the lens and got a whole bunch of extras with it.

Superzooms really aren't worth it. Just go DSLR. You'll thank yourself later.

After a day or two of using it if you wouldn't mind telling me like a short review or something that would be great. I looked it up and it seems great expecially or the price.

I only just got it today, but my first impressions are good. It's build is real solid and Olympus makes some of the best lenses in the business. It has a lot of features for an entry-level DLSR. Great screen too. I'll write a bit more later.
