Its really one of the easier tricks once you learn how it works. It was the first that I learned. Its better to practice with hookah cause the smoke is smooth and thick. Weed can make you start sneezing which isnt fun.

Heres how its done
1) Take a fat rip and try not to breath any fresh air after the hit because it will dilute the smoke
2) open your mouth and slowly start to exhale. The idea is you want to fill your mouth with thick smoke. so keep breathing out till it gets thick and your whole mouth is filled with smoke. Use your throut to cut off your mouth and trap the smoke there.
3) Now slowly close your mouth, or use your tongue to push smoke out of your mouth. (I use a combination of these) The key here is to make it look like you are just breathing out, so dont make the shutting of your mouth too obvious.
4) While doing step three breath in through your nose. The smoke you are pushing from your mouth will be sucked into your nose. SUCCESS!

honestly i think the french inhale is the easiest to do but one of the hardest to perfect. all my friends can do it but always get weak smoke. im like the only one that can get the perfect thick smoke. one of the best tips i have is : practise by taking a hit and pushing it out of your mouth either with your tongue or just letting the smoke float out. do this a couple of times before you try to inhale it through your nose.
