Real or Fake?

I just got this picture emailed to me by my dad. It looks so amazing it doesn't matter whether it's real or fake but I have to lean towards fake. There are so many amazing pics I've seen that always end up being fake so let's see what you guys think...

wow, that's really cool. i have no knowledge of photo editing, or anything like that, so i have no idea if it's fake or not. it is a really really neat picture if it is in fact real. hell, it's a cool picture if it's fake.

It is definately a really tight picture fake or not, but I have to lean towards photoshopped.

I'm not sure if its real or fake but just the other day i seen a complete rainbow so i went real...Cool ass picture though

I voted fake, but only because if something appears to be too good to be true, it usually is.l Sweet picture either way!

It looks real to me... nothing rare about a rainbow

The photo was edited though... thats why the tree is so bright and everything else is darker.

"photoshopped" doesn't mean it's fake. Photoshop has become the digital photographer's darkroom. An unphotoshopped digital photo is not from a good photographer, since there's no other way to get the effects (digitally) of a darkroom without some kind of computer program (PS being, of course, the holy grail).

Now, as to how it was enhanced or manipulated, I'd say the saturation was cranked, and they burned the sky down to hilight the center (inside the small rainbow). The fade from the first rainbow out to the blue clouds looks a bit fishy to me, maybe a gradient mask used to change the hue or contrast or both.

Anyways...

That is a fucking amazing image!!! I love photography. I don't think it is altered, mabye the contrast and what not was to make it seem more standing out. Either way it is freaking cool.
