Images (Lost and Found)

Fairly straight forward thread...

if anyone happened to have saved any attachments from before Rick's adjustments, post them.

I'm pretty much solely speaking of images of glassware and bongs and the like.

Also, any requests for photos can be posted too.

You could post more then 5 at a time with imageshack.us but it would probably take longer.

pipe8.jpg and pipe10.jpg were too large to upload. However, pipe8.jpg might upload if I turn it sideways (rotate 90 degrees). They both seem to be of the same pipe (I think it was one that someone was asking us to help him name).

Surely there must be more than one person with pictures in their cache they could upload?

I saw my first mistake in labeling just now.

You might have some in your cache. Look for a folder called "temp" if you use Internet Exploder or "Cache" if you use Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, etc. I'm not sure about other browsers. (I use Firefox in Linux, it's in ~/.mozilla/firefox/<some random string>.default/Cache/)

But really, I'm not familiar enough with imageshack (or any image uploading sites... in fact, most websites) to trust them not to narc me out (ip address, user agent, etc.) for posting pictures of weed-related stuff. Plus, I'm on a relatively slow connection anyways (slower than 56K).

I'm trying to save my bandwidth for uploading... sorry for any discordant communication.

I just looked through my Windows folders and no, I don't think the cache is in Temp for IE. But then again, I usually use Firefox in Windows so my IE cache might have timed out by now.

pipe14-stuff.jpg was way too big to upload. I didn't even try. It includes 2 pipes, a grinder, and a little stash box with a small picture of a leaf in the center. I think it was linked off-site anyways.

pipe15.jpg was literally 1 pixel too tall to upload (should flip it sideways or trim 1 pixel). pipe16.jpg was too wide.

This is the last of my pipe pics. I have 1 more bong pic and 1 gravity (plastic soda bottle) which was too large, plus all the pipe pics that were too large. Now I don't know if I should go into an image editor and fix some of the non-uploadable ones - if they're too big to upload, they're probably not from the old attachments and thus not really "lost".

I use firefox in linux (suse), but I'm totally clueless when it comes to linux, so I dont even know how to get to the temp file.

in a terminal window (xterm, konsole, rxvt, etc.), then look through the folder on your desktop called CACHE_IMAGES and see if you find anything interesting. (there can be a lot of pictures there depending on how big your cache is)

Here's the last of my uploadable (pictures of) paraphernalia. I'm going to look for the rest of the picture threads' pictures, if I can remember which they are.

Stuff I didn't upload includes:
- Dude hitting a bong
- High-horsepower engine
- 2 dudes with their eyes blacked out
- Some dinosaur pics
- A bunch of pictures of weed
- Some rolled joints/blunts
- Plants
- Cars
- And a bunch of other stuff as well.
