| Holy Crap... That's the coolest drawing I've ever had the privilege of laying eyes upon. I can see so many different things in it. So many meanings and representations. Before I start to analyze it for its artistic symbolism I need to know one thing. Is that El Chupacabra in the top middle? If not you have to admit it looks like the goat sucker...  |

| My mom likes it but my dad doesn't. He was saying it looked "gothic"  What an idiot... I swear can't a normal guy like different things? I swear, he just has this idea of who I am and it's totally false. I am not a miniture version of him. I am not... I'm sorry nevermind I'm rambling... I just can't believe he looked at it the way he did... Like I was crazy for liking it or something... Like he didn't have yellow awnings on his house at one time or that ridiculous Arabian-style grill...  Who pointed out how lame that was? ME and it looks a lot better with wooden lattice work like how it is now. Now that grill has to go  But damn, I still can't believe his reaction to it. I think he doesn't like the fact I'm spending money on it and he's bitter about that- but why he had to act like it wasn't amazing I don't know. He's a jerk sometimes I swear, such a self-righteous asshole he was bitching at me today about "wanting more out of me" God now he's not even afraid to say it out loud. Now he's saying shit I just want more out of you, you are not good enough.  I'm sorry I just have so much respect for this piece of artwork and whether or not it is gothic has nothing to do with how unique and special it is. FUCK HIM.  I can't wait until my friend April sees it- she's gonna flip! |

| I'm sorry to hear your dad has issues with it, but hey.. what can ya do? Art is particularly subjective, so you can't expect everyone to understand it, much less like it. As long as YOU like it, I'll consider it a job well done.  Sounds like he may have some misguided expectations for you, but sometimes that's what parents are for. :PThanks for the compliments everyone~ |
