Yeah, the FZ50 is nice with the Venus Engine III and all but I can't justify it being a worthy upgrade for me. Plus the new sensor tends to soften the pictures more than the FZ30 does. Either way man, their both sick cameras. If you do get it, do you plan on getting any additional lenses or filters?

| From what I've read the 50 is a minor upgrade over the 30, which is still available, but would cost me about $100 more . I love the superzoom cams and the FZ30/50 is in a class by itself (at low ISO anyway), but I've got a Minolta 7i (5MP, 7X), and even though it's 5 years old, it takes good pics and it's hard for me to pull the trigger on a new one. I'm not really hard core with photography and would probably be satisfied with the FZ8, but it's too small for my taste and the extra $160 for the 50 is worth it to me. I just need to commit. I'm definitely interested in the Raynox. It seems like a good buy. Any other suggestions? I'll hit you up for some tips when I become an FZ owner. ![]()

| Other than the Raynox DCR-250, you could get the DCR-150. It's a little less powerful but it's a good macro lens to start with. The diopter strength of the 250 is +8 and the 150 is +4. So the 150 will be a lot easier to work with at first until you get the hang of it. If you got the 150, you can focus on subjects 8 in away. The 250 you have to be 4 in away from the subject. |
