hey guys,
i've been making shirts lately, (well, only two - one of Bjork, and looks pretty good, and one of my latin teacher, it came out kind of bad

). anywho, i've been messing around for about two weeks now, and i made this today;

i want some comments. tell me whether it's good or bad, and be honest, it takes a long time to make the stencil, specially for this one cause it's gonna be huge. tell me whether you think it's plain stupid, or witty. how would you feel if you saw someone on the street wearing this?

You waited a mere two hours for a response?

Understand that NOBODY visits these forums on your schedule except you.
It's arrogant to think that you should receive responses in a two-hour time frame that you dictate.

PErsonally, I don't care one way or the other. It's an avante-garde design that's not my style. It would certainly invite questions and be a conversation starter.

Ist here any meaning behind the design, or is it a bunch of random animal parts thrown together?

I've made my share of shirts, and it looks... well done. Personally I don't understand or like the design but the lines are really crisp and clean.

what technique do you use? because that looks way to clean and intricate to be a stencil.

Yall are crazy, that is a sweet stencil. Flamingo, butterfly, girrafe, lion; what a trippy blend.

erm, maybe i wrote that because there were already 15+ views and still no responses? not to mention friends on IM were telling me they didn't really like it much.

seems as if it's not a good idea, time to scrap it and start over.

the story behind it:

i was sitting on the beach, watching a lifeguard (giraffe, because they're higher than anyone else in those booths), they have to know how to swim (dolphin fin/flamingo), they're watching over the beach (lion).

and to anwser the question on my technique-
yeah, i use photoshop to create the stencil, and then an xacto knife. i'm guessing it'd take around 2 hours to do it ... it's not hard, you just have to have a steady hand, and use a ruler to help out on long straight lines.

+ the actual thing is a lot bigger, like 30 inches by 30 inches.
