You need a lawyer who specializes in "Family Law". This is important.

You are the mother, you have a lot of rights your ex-mil does not have. In most states she has basicly no rights, that's why she is trying to paint you as a drug addict.

If you fail this hair test, and you have very low thc levels, with no other drugs, you should be okay. You should volunteer to take a urine test to show you have no recent usage. Volunteer to take more random tests, it won't go on forever.

With a good attorney, there is almost no way you will lose custody of your child.

I do have a family attorny. the monster in law actually has a lot more rights than you think since my ex is going to Jail... this is what is stressing me out. I think I am going to take a wiz quiz next week just in case. Thing is, if I pass she has to stop, and if I don't there is a huge chance I will lose the baby.... Im infuriated...I have been clean for a while, and did it sparingly before I was clean. When I say sparingly, I mean 2 weeks clean, then a toke or two, a week clean, a toke, so on...

How many times do you think you used in the past 90 days? Give me a number.EDIT--I just reread your posts. If you don't pass your levels are going to be super low. I think your chances are better than I predicted. I think you are going to be fine, if you fail your levels are going to be super low.

Just because your ex is going to jail does not mean that she gets his parental rights. She has to prove that you are an unfit mother. That is tough to do. Hence, she is labeling you a drug addict.

let me put step by step exactly what I did:
the day I found out about the hair test I used toxin wash
week and a half straight I used pm3
morning the day before the test I washed my hair 6 times with tgel, extra strenght (twice the coal tar)
Then I washed my hair 3 more times the night before with the tegl, did the toxin wash as directed, tripling the bakingsoda step, and left in it for 20 minutes, instead of ten.
Morning of test, tgel 3 times
Afternoon, day of test (4 hours prior), t gel 3 more times, the toxin wash same as above.
I looked at the calendar and pinpointed the days I smoked and it adds up to 6 times... but again it was one or two hits of the crappy stuff...
I have a rediculousely fast metabolism, dark hair- I dye it every 3 months

I have been divorced since last dec.

Look, I can read, I have seen your step by step. I'm looking for new information to help you out.

When is the last time you dyed your hair? This is important because dying your hair is probably more effective than all of those other treatments combined.

Im sorry, I just didn't think I put all of my exact steps before... I dyed my hair last at the end of March, so I don't think it makes a difference...

If you fail, it will be by very little. I'd scream for a follow up test(say the last time you smoked was with your ex before the divorce). Back this up with a clean UA, take an observed one to enhance your claim. Bleach and redye your hair now, and you will be ready to pass the next test.

Good luck, I feel for you. As you can probably tell, I have fought this battle myself.

I want everyone to beat the test, but I really want people in child custody situations to pass.

Thanks... Yeah this is extremely stressful and I just want it all to be over. I will definitly take the observed UA asap, and do the redye asap. I really appreciate your input big time, and glad that there s omeone that knows what Im talking about. Im not a drug addict or a bad mom because I have toked at a party, away from my children! All I know is I will never smoke again because of this... UGH

Get this behind you, get full custody, you will be fine.

While I think you should let you child know it's grandparents, your exmil is going to have to cooperate with you. She will not want you to pick up and move to another city. You are going to be in the driver's seat and there is nothing she will be able to do about it.

You will be able to smoke responsibly again.
