OK, here is the latest new guy's story.

My situation: until late last year (Nov/Dec 07) I had been a moderate smoker for about 5 years, my definition of that being 2-3 hits from a bowl 3-5 nights per week, pretty high quality herb.

In view of a decision to undertake a job search, I began to cut back in December 07. In January had about 3 weeks, maybe a whole month of abstinence. In February smoked on two consecutive weekends, then stopped totally in late February.

Completely abstinent until one time 17 days ago as of today. One hit (maybe two) from bowl on moderate intensity herb. I gave myself a store-bought urine test 3 days after that (sudden job development). I tested negative already at that point.

I am overweight (beer/stress belly) by about 30 to 40 lbs (depending on your interpretation ). Slow metabolism.

I have no hair left from the pre-February smoking period (all new growth, about 2 inches). So that means 4 months abstinence except for that one recent hiccup.

This all may be moot because I probably will NOT be hair tested (90% chance it will be urine). However... I would appreciate answers to the following:

1) Is the hair test spreading in use to more companies this year outside of law enforcement, casinos, etc. - such as banks??

2) How well established is the belief that one toke during the 3 month period will not cause a hair test positive?

3) Due to the fact that I am overweight, might the combination of last year's smoking being stored in my fat and slowly releasing into Feb/March, AND the one foolish incident 2 weeks ago, be enough to tip me over the edge if I am hair tested?
