Hey there! I am not a chronic user, however, from November 2007 - April 2008 I have probably smoked about 4 times, very little (a small pipe amount) just to fall asleep. However, I have done the white several times (about 1/2 an 8ball average once every 2 months). Here are my facts:

100 pounds
5'0
slender

162 days clean since the white - about 6 lines, prior about 1/4 eightball 4 weeks before

179 days clean since the green - 2-3 puffs, prior to that was about 4 months and it was a small amount, enough to fit in a glass pipe.

My question is - is the Jerry method too harsh for me to do since its for heavy users? I heard that Pyschemedics go back 7 months, is that even legal?? I really just want to do something simple and maybe just a zydot or test pure wash, but is that enough? I'm really paranoid because this is a very high profile job and if I fail it, my current job will find out (because the guy hiring me at Wynn is bestfriend's with my current boss) and I could get let go.

I have 2 weeks to take the test.

Hi, I have a similar but not exact situation and after reading as much as I could handle on here it boils down to how much does all of this mean to us? How badly do we want to pass. It was mentioned I could probably pass without doing anything and perhaps the zydot and MAC method would be enough, however I even bleached/redyed the day before because I would prefer to pass no matter what. I was not a heavy user and THC was the only thing I was concerned about. So I ordered the home test from hair confirm dot com and within one week it came back negative so now I have an idea as to where I possibly stand, but now I wait for the results from the real test. The people on here are great with a wealth of knowledge and I'm sure they can provide help.

Thanks, but when you say you have a similar situation, does that mean you have almost the same history as me? are you the same built and ethinicity as me too? or do you mean, you didn't want to dye or bleach your hair either?

Any input is appreciated, thanks everyone!

sorry about not explaining more in depth.... my situation being similar was i didn't know if bleach/redye was going overboard even though it's for heavier usuers and it was mentioned that I was border line and that method was probably not needed. Dark hair and Blonde hair appear to make a difference, but to what extent I can't say although it's something I read on this forum. I only smoked 30 days prior and had about 5 hits from a bowl on saturday and 10 hits all day on sunday and prior to that it was probably 3 months when i had about 25 hits during a full week. I'm 5-7, 180 lbs blonde hair somewhat thinning and a good metabolism. Did as mush as I could hoping to pass the test even if it meant going overboard.

Ok, so I take the hair test this Thursday. By then I'll be 186 days clean of the green, and 166 days since the white. Starting today I will be washing my hair everyday until the day of dying with Paul Mitchell3 and ALOE RID (discontinued). So at the day of dying, my hair would have been treated with Paul Mitchel 3 and Aloe Rid twice - except morning of dye job, because I hear its horrible to wash your hair before dying (something about the oils counteracting with the dye, and it won't hold as much).

Then I'm going to do the following:

• Paul Mitchell 3
• 40 volume developer
• Natural Hair color with ammonia
• baking soda paste
• Zydot treatment (3 packs)

• • I am professionally getting my hair bleached and re-dyed once the day BEFORE my test (Wednesday morning). I'll have her wash the bleach and the dye out with Paul Mitchell 3 while the pores are open. I'm going to be using a 40 volume developer and a dye with ammonia (mixed with a 10 or 20 volume developer). After its rinsed, I'll have her wash it with the Zydot mix (1 pack used)
  • That night, I'll use the baking soda paste and massage it into my hair. Then I will wash it out with Paul Mitchell 3 and Zydot (2nd pack) again.
  • The day of the test I'll do the baking soda paste, then a full Zydot wash (last pack) and then a full Paul Mitchell 3 wash. According to Zydot customer service, the effectiveness of their product is enhanced by being preceded by a strong clarifying shampoo. I think these two products compliment each other. (zydot first, strong clarifying shampoo second)

What do you guys think? I know its a little extreme for me, but I figured hey, what the h**? I am Asian and have very dark, thick hair - so the Mac method will not work for me -- it's a Pyschamedics test with Mr. Steve Wynn.

The psychemedics test tests 1.5 inches of hair from the crown of the head. According to them, this equates to an approximately 3 month testing period, with some variance due to differing rates of hair growth. I don't know where you heard 7 months, but even according to them, that's not true. Though they do at times use the term "several months," and perhaps someone misread it. You should be absolutely fine without doing anything at all.

If you really want to do something, I suggest you tone it down a bit- you have a pretty hardcore regimen up there. I think I've seen people getting hair tests done where they've smoked less than a month prior and passed with stuff like that.

Mostly, though, you should relax. If doing the treatments on your hair make you feel better, then by all means do it. There's no reason for you to stress out about this test- you should definitely pass. Nobody likes stress.
