Just to give a bit of background: I'm about 5'10, 180 regularly work out/play sports. Light brown/blonde hair usually kept around 1-1.5 inch.

This past May I got an internship and job offer from a company and found out I would have to take a hair test. I had been clean for about two months (March), but smoked 3-5 times a day for about 6 months prior to stopping. I immediately did the macujo method (had passed a test before with this method but smoked only once) and took the test. Well I failed and lost the internship, but maintained the job offer for January pending I pass another drug test in October.

I stayed clean all summer and got regular hair cuts. A day before the test, i went to get one final hair trim down to 1.25". Well the lady ended up taking my hair down to a little under an inch. I still went to get my hair tested on October 27. The lady at the clinic said it was long enough, so I did not worry about it. I went home and lit up for the first time in about 7 months and smoked every day for about 5 days.

On the 5th day, while I was blazed, I get a call from my employer stating the hair test was invalid and I would have to take another one, but need to wait till November 21 or later. Well naturally I'm flipping out now because I did smoke. I'm pretty sure in the 20 or so days that the THC will indeed be in the next hair sample. I'm currently finishing my first bleach and redye but just wanted a little assurance that I should be fine. I didn't do the Jerry G method for the first one, so hopefully it works.

On a side note, I was so blazed when the lady called me that I forgot to ask her why the test was invalid. I'm assuming it was because my hair was too short. Would there be any other reasons? Also will it look suspicious now considering my hair will most likely be a different color just 20 days later?
