| my boyfriend has to take a hair test tomorrow afternoon, so we only have about 18 hours left to do what we can to prepare. he is a light smoker (maybe 5 times a month). for the past three days, we have used our version of macujo method which has included vineger, clean and clear, tide, baking soda paste and clean and clear, a dandruff product with 3 percent salycic acid, and a shampoo with very similar ingredients as as aloe rid....my question is, is this even going to work? i have been lurking on this forum ever since we learned about the test, and have read so much, i don't even know what to think at this point...we are flipping out, we have kids and can't afford for him to lose this position...please help if you can, i know some of you will tell me to browse the forum for more info, but right now, i am in dire need of some real honest advice from those of you who might be able to help us...thanks so much everyone |

| Hi, I wish I had something really comforting to say, but the macujo method seems to be pretty hit or miss. It's really impossible to give percentage chances of passing, and even more so with the mac method. Depending on how much time he has, it might be better to search for threads where people do some more extreme measures, such as hair relaxer. Jerry G's bleach/redye method seems to be the more preferred one these days, and I'm sure your b/f could fit at least one bleach/redye in if you get up tomorrow morning, go to a beauty parlor and get the supplies. I know it sounds a little absurd when you first read Jerry G's sticky, but it's not so bad once you get started on that process. Just try to stay positive, and whatever's going to happen will happen. I would recommend doing the most you guys possibly can before the test to both increase his chances of passing and easing your minds. |
