drug screen with arm pit hair sample

Hai guyz,

In summary, NO drugs in the past ~7 months, but a slight history of drug use, armpit hair, am I done?

I know I'm a n00b and everything, but any info will be appreciated, and I'll definitely post what comes of the test.

damn yeah thats bad i heard 3 years till it gets outta hair but i might be wrong,that's so bad the gov. dont stop the employers from doing that ....sorry to hear it

You have nothing to worry about. Hair tests only look at three month's growth of hair. Beyond that point, the metabolites in the hair deteriorate and won't give an accurate reading.

Thanks for the responses. Buzzby I hope you are right, but unless a certified doctor/lab technician/whatev told me not to worry, then I'm going to be bricking it until I hear the result.

I am so glad you posted this!

I am in the exact same situation. Except I have to take my test next week. Just like you I am in college and finally found a job. I also have short hair so I am assuming they will take it from my pits as nothing is long enough. I smoked twice in October and that is it. I have only smoked twice in my life but it will be seven months since I smoked. The bummer part is that I keep reading that armpit hair could show up to a years worth so I don't know what to do.

I plan on using some of the methods on here, probably the Jerry G method to be sure. I wish I had known that I was going to have to take a hair test back in March when I got the job so then I could have shaved all my hair and I would never have to worry about anything but at least I know it is a hair test and I get to prep for it.

Good luck and please post your results as I am dieing for some reassurance like yourself.

At this point I think it's highly unlikely that I tested positive for anything. I have been given a start date, and they sent me an employee packet to fill out.
