| First off I would like to thank all the people on this site for providing all there personal experiences and information. I think it is a valuable tool for all of us and am honored to join the community. Well to continue on I have been doing plenty of research, mostly on this site, and have found plenty of valuable information. However i ponder something that I have not found an answer to. Before I ask, let me give a brief description of my situation. I was offered a great job with great pay and everything was going fine until they told me the drug test was a hair follicle test. I told the gentlemen that offered me the position that I would not pass due to my recent usage. He then asked me if there was anything I could do to pass the test. After cutting my hair off completely (everywhere) and telling him I have to regrow my hair, I discovered the "mac method" and other methods of passing, but it was already too late. He then told me I have to take my test on July 1st. I last smoked on May 22nd and cut off all my hair on June 1st giving time for the contaminated hair to grow before cutting it off. Now from what I read it takes anywhere from 3-10 days from usage to growth above the head depending on your own personal body. Also there will be no possibility for the lab to receive an alternative sample other than my head which will be 1/2 inch long on the day of testing give or take .2 millimeters and here is the question. Although I waited 11 days before cutting my hair off, will my hair continue to grow contaminated? I hear that it stays in the blood for a longer period of time than that and that blood is where the hair follicle is contaminated from. If that is true then my hair would still be growing contaminated and also that my half inch of hair would represent more than 30 days of my past because I will not have smoked in over 30 days on the day of the test which is what i planned, it will have been 41 days. So I need some clarification here from this much appreciated community, I appreciate it. |
