I smoked once on jan 1st and 2 hits on jan 31st I have a hair test next week. For about week and a half I have been using aloe rid/aloe rid treatment, this other stuff called aveeda which is suppose to help, and bleached then re dyed my hair back to its original color, and cut my hair short to about 1 inch. its growing now and Im going to get it trimmed one more time not to short though so they stick to my head. It will be like 81 days clean and I will be taking the test at Quest Diagnostics in Las Vegas. My friends sister works there and told me they go back 11 months depending on how much the employee pays but she wasnt sure how far back my company is paying for but she said alot of the standard companies pay for the 11months. Do you think this is true or should I be ok since they say every inch is only 60 days worth of time? If I fail I loose my current position and I really am looking for some info tips shampoos anything please suggest anything and tell me if you know about quest diagnostics.

Ive done a lot of research on all types of test in the past 2 days because ive been worried myself. Anyhow they can only go back so far back on the hair on your head max about 90-120 days (depending on length). But the thing to be concerned about is they don't always take hair from your head. Thats the way they may be able to go back 11 months. What do you need a hair test for anyways they are very expensive?

I've never heard of the tests going back 11 months. I don't see how that could be possible. If the hair on your head is long enough, they will take it from there, it's the least "invasive". I don't think taking hair from anywhere else would let them go back that far either. Check the website for the company and see what they claim, I know psychemedics says only 90 days...this is because they take 1.5" of hair (although evidently they will take more if it's longer) and it takes approx 90 days to grow 1.5" of hair. Body hair grows slower (I think at about half the rate of head hair), but it still grows, it's not like the hair in your armpit's been there for the past year, it continually falls out and re-grows.

The only cases I've heard of where they don't take it from your head is if your head hair is cut very short (less than half an inch). Read macuj0's post about vinegar/clean&clear/tide method...he claims it's gotten him through quite a few tests. Make sure you treat all your body hair though, especially if you're concerned they make take it from somewhere besides your head.

Considering you've only smoked twice in the last 100+ days I wouldn't be worried...hair tests aren't really designed to detect small amounts, they're better at picking up chronic use. Good luck, and please post your results!

Well I passed!!! bleach,dye then dye again, on top of cutting my hair down to 1.5 inches, aloe rid + aloe rid treatment, aveeda shampoo, vinegar, clean and clear and tide. whatever worked out of all that **** im not sure but i passed.

In your first post you said you cut your hair down to 1 inch.....in this post you say you cut your hair down to 1.5 inches...i'm just wondering which one it was because I'll prolly only have 1 inch at the time of my test and would like to get some knowledge on how much is enough on the head.

i've heard 2 things : pepsi and rubbing alcohol. use like shampoo for 4 or 5 showers. burns the dead cells and evaporates. the drug test will come up clean. i swear
