I'm have a couple of questions. First everywhere on this site it says if you only smoke couple of times within 90 days you should be good. By smoke does that mean couple of hits or joints? Also over the fourth of July I smoked a little bout 10-12 hits over 2 days. Would that much smoke cause me to fail a random hair test? I am about 6 foot 165 lbs and athletic, while my hair is brown roughly 2 3/4 inches long at the longest. I also take vitamins for my skin and hair. Thought about possibly buying a hair product that is suppose to make your hair grow faster. Just wanting you all's opinion on these matters. THANKS!!

Reading that your recent smoking habits have been "Infrequent" and "Heavy" use during the past 2 days it is with high [ no pun intended] certainty that you will fail a UA if taken within shorter than the next 20 days. Not knowing what your exercise habits are---but presuming that you are athletic--bodes well for deceasing your detection window.
You ought to be able to pass a saliva/oral test after 4 days of abstaining.
A hair test---passing that will be problematic unless you do multiple bleachings--not sure on the time-line for that.

Can I get some more replies please. I would really like to hear from Jerry & Sec. Also if I don't know when the hair test is going to be is there anything I can do?

It's just a rough guideline to follow. It doesn't mean three joints within three months or three hits within three months. There was a link to a study on here where they hair tested a whole group of people, and in some cases they were able to detect THC in the hair of people who reportedly smoked only 1-2 joints per month. It generally takes smoking more than once a month to trigger a positive for THC in hair.

Right now, the 4th of July sessions haven't made it through your scalp yet. Your hair just hasn't grown that much in one week.

The collector will cut the hair at the scalp, but realistically, your hair will be cut 1/8 to 1/4 inch from the scalp.

The rule is generally 3 sessions in 3 months. You have to use a little common sense here. If those were the only times you smoked, you are just great. If you smoked twice in June and once in May, add to that the 4th of July; if I were you, and had a choice of when to take the test, I would get it done ASAP.

If you only smoked over the 4th, don't worry. You should not fail for that one weekend of pleasure.

The fourth of July is the only time I smoked in about 100 days. Thanks for your help. Is there anything that I can do to just to make sure I'm good?

Although I think it is unnecessary, you could bleach and re-dye your hair for added insurance.
