Hi, I have read this alot lately, I just had a hair test for a job that I got. I decided to register because yesterday when I had the test, they decided to take hair from my underarm because, although my hair was short on top, she didn't "want to leave a bald spot" - in hindsight, I probably should have just taken the slight bald spot, but I didn't think of it at the time. So she took some hair from both underarms.

Now I am nervous about this because I haven't smoked since the beginning of the year (and that was the last hit of a bowl at a party, so really no THC at all), and the most recent time before that was once in October (I used to smoke more last school year because my roommates did it all the time). I am nervous because I have not been able to find out if the underarm hair, which was the standard, about an inch and a half, is MORE accurate than scalp (in that it can show presence of toxins from over 3 months, which is not good) or the same in accuracy, in that it will only show toxin presence from 90 days. I have no idea how underarm hair grows or how long toxins stay present in it.

Like I said, I had the test yesterday, and am starting my job next Wednesday - I was hired late for the job, which is why the time period is so short. However they will fire me if my test comes back positive. Can anyone here shed some light on this, as far as the accuracy of using underarm hair versus scalp? I have searched this forum and alot on the internet, and could not find the answer. Thanks.

I just found out that underarm hair can go all the way back to 1 year.
