| Allow me to start by saying these forums are an incredible asset to the smoking community, from the heavy everyday pothead to even the most casual of roach burners. I myself thought there was no way I had a chance to pass a pre-employment drug test for the casino industry as they ALL require hair drug tests, until I stumbled upon this wonderful site. So, for my contribution to this amazing community, I will post my own very specific plan of attack, complete names of the products I have used, and of course the results of my Monday-bound hair analysis test. The Jerry G method involves the bleaching and re-coloring of the hair multiple times using the highest strength peroxide for the bleaching process (40 volume) and a medium grade peroxide for the re-coloring process (20 volume.) There are other methods out there, such as the MacCuJ0 method, however they are much more labor intensive and do not seem to be as consistent as the Jerry G method. Therefore, I have chosen the Jerry G method for my hair "detoxification". A. About Me B. Products Used C: The Process D: Testing Information and Results A. About Me: I. Marijuana Use and Frequency I do not consider myself a heavy smoker, as the most at one time I have smoked was half of a grape swisher-packed blunt. I would smoke 1/3 of a grape swisher-packed blunt daily over a seven month period; at the 7th month mark, I purchased a vaporizer (brand unknown) from a local smoke shop in town. From that time until 3 weeks ago, I used the vaporizer and "fingernail sized" ground marijuana daily. Occasionally I would skip a day or two in-between uses. The marijuana I acquired was to my knowledge "OG Kush", “Afghan", "Granddaddy", and possibly 1 time "Chronic". I am not well versed in types and names of marijuana. All times I smoked, I stopped as soon as I felt a "nice high". For me, that meant I was still functional, but my thought processes were a bit slower than normal, and I was much more relaxed and stress-free. I have never ingested marijuana in the form of food products. I have never attempted the use of any other drug. II. Physical Health I am in my early 20's, of white and Asian descent, and use to be very physical; body building 5 days a week but did very little cardio, about 1 year ago, for 2 years. My body fat percentage is unusually high for my body type/weight, right at around 25%. During the past year, the only thing I've been doing besides work (serving food at a busy restaurant) is 30-55 minutes of intercourse almost daily. I do not have tendencies to sweat a lot, possibly from living in Las Vegas heat for so long. I consume a considerable amount alcohol when I go clubbing, for example: between my friend and I, we would drink a 750mL bottle of Jack Daniels per night, not including beverages in the club. This used to be an everyday thing, however my drinking habits have slowed down since I've restrained from clubbing recently. I haven't been drinking enough water for my body weight lately, either; mostly black coffee, never with cream, never with sugar. III. Hair Composition My natural hair color is very light brown on the top of my head, and the sides have an almost light-gray pigment. However, I have been coloring my hair very dark brown for the past 3 years, once a month, 12 times per year, solely for cosmetic reasons. I assume this could be a 1-up for my hair not being able to hold on to many metabolites. My hair strands themselves are very thin, but have no signs of balding. My scalp always seems to have dandruff, and is usually dry. I get my haircut every 2 weeks, 2 times a month, in a taper-cut fashion; "two and a half" on the sides, and 3-4 inches left on the top. I am not a user of gel or mousse type products, only leave-in conditioners and hair moisturizers. B. Products Used Note: The products I am listing below are in no way, shape, or form being endorsed by myself or this website. I am listing these products for the sake of specifics and research purposes. If an item is not listed here, I did not use it in my regimen for the 7 days of treatment. Ion Clarifying Shampoo Salon Care 20 Volume Crème Peroxide Salon Care 40 Volume Crème Peroxide Wella Color Charm 211/2N Very Dark Brown Hair Color Dye Salon Care Blue Flash Powder Lightener Bleach Arm and Hammer Baking Soda TeaTree Hair and Body Moisturizer/Leave in Conditioner Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist Toxin Wash Shampoo Purity Inc. The Process I have not touched marijuana for 21 days, and for a couple months beforehand I was smoking small amounts (1/3 of a typical nugget) through a vaporizer almost daily. I have no experience with any other drug substances other than marijuana. The days and order everything was done have been kept accurate. All rinsing/washing was done with tap water directly from the faucet. Day One: Washed hair with Ion Shampoo. Bleached hair for 30 minutes using 40 volume peroxide. Rinsed out bleach. Shampooed with Toxin Wash, letting it set in hair for 15 minutes. Rinsed out Toxin Wash. Lightly dried hair. Re-dyed hair with 10 peroxide. Let dye stay in hair for 40 minutes. Washed out dye with Ion Shampoo. Air dried hair. Day Two: Washed hair with Ion Shampoo twice. Used TeaTree to help my burning scalp throughout my entire head. Day Three: Washed hair with Ion Shampoo. Bleached hair for 40 minutes using 40 volume peroxide. Rinsed out bleach. Shampooed with Toxin Wash, letting it set in hair for 15 minutes. Rinsed out Toxin Wash. Lightly dried hair. Re-dyed hair with 20 peroxide. Let dye stay in hair for 35 minutes. Washed out dye with Ion Shampoo. Air dried hair. Day Four: Washed hair with Ion Shampoo twice. Used TeaTree and Paul Mitchell to style my hair, as I had to work this day. Day Five: Washed hair with Ion Shampoo. Bleached hair for 40 minutes using 40 volume peroxide. Rinsed out bleach. Shampooed with Toxin Wash, letting it set in hair for 15 minutes. Rinsed out Toxin Wash. Lightly dried hair. Cooked and watched television for 3 hours. Bleached hair for 30 minutes using 40 volume peroxide. Rinsed out bleach. Shampooed with Ion Shampoo and rinsed. Air dried hair. Used TeaTree to help my burning scalp on the back of my head and sides. Day Six: Washed hair with Ion Shampoo. Re-dyed hair with 20 peroxide. Let dye stay in hair for 40 minutes. Rinsed out dye. Shampooed with Ion Shampoo and rinsed. Shampooed with Toxin Wash, letting it set in for hair for 15 minutes. Rinsed out Toxin Wash. Shampooed with Ion Shampoo and rinsed. Used TeaTree and Paul Mitchell to style my hair, as I had to work this day. 8 hours later, shampooed with Ion Shampoo and rinsed. Bleached hair for 35 minutes using 40 volume peroxide. Rinsed out bleach. Shampooed with Toxin Wash, rubbing and combing through hair for 15 minutes. Rinsed out Toxin Wash. Air dried hair. Used TeaTrea to help my burning scalp on the back of my head and sides. Day Seven (Test Day): Used 4 parts baking soda, 1 part water paste mixture on hair and let set for 20 minutes. Rinsed out baking soda. Shampooed with Toxin Wash, letting it set in hair for 12 minutes. Rinsed out Toxin Wash. Re-dyed hair with 20 peroxide. Let dye stay in hair for 40 minutes. Rinsed out dye. Shampooed with All Clear, letting it set in hair for 10 minutes. Rinsed out All Clear Shampoo. Used All Clear Gel, rubbing and combing through hair, letting it set for 15 minutes. Rinsed out All Clear Gel. Shampooed with Toxin Wash, rubbing and combing through hair for 15 minutes. Rinsed out Toxin Wash. Air dried hair. Left directly to clinic to provide hair sample. I. Total Product Uses over Seven Day Treatment Ion Clarifying Shampoo was used a total of 14 times. Arm and Hammer Baking Soda was used a total of 1 time. Toxin Wash Shampoo was used a total of 7 times. Purity Inc. All Clear Shampoo was used a total of 1 time. I had bleached my hair 5 times and re-dyed 4 times, for a total of 9 treatments, not including the baking soda phase. II. Notes I used the fine side of a comb during each treatment to ensure every strand was being coated with the bleach, dye, and Toxin Wash. With the bleaches and re-dye's, I would comb 1-2 times in one area, turn the comb over, and then coat the hair in the same area with the bleach/dye that would comb off, retouching with more bleach/dye as necessary. For the Toxin Wash, I would massage it into the hair while combing through; after each comb, I rinsed the comb with hot water (i.e. comb, then rinse. comb again, then rinse again. repeat.) I added more Toxin Wash to the hair as needed. The amount of Toxin Wash I used was about the palm of my hand each time. I have very short hair, and 2 of these palm sized amounts per wash seemed to be more than enough to coat my hair completely. III. Verbiage Just to be clear: Rinsed means I used tap water directly from the faucet only. Washed means I shampooed, and then rinsed completely with tap water from the faucet only. Air dried hair means I lightly blotted the hair with a fresh, clean towel, and used nothing else. Shampooed means I shampooed, and then rinsed completely with tap water from the faucet only. IV. Notes by Day Day One Note: 10 peroxide was used this day because I did not have 20 peroxide available. Day Six Note: This was the first time I experienced any visible hair loss. It was during the rubbing and combing phase using the Toxin Wash, as I usually only rub it into my hair and let it set for 15 minutes. My scalp was also notably much drier and had a "tight" feeling. I personally would not recommend rubbing Toxin Wash into the scalp as directed for a full 15 minutes. I acknowledge that the directions indicate only using Toxin Wash a total of 4 times, and I am well over that number already. It may possibly be from the bleaches themselves, but I'm just stating when/how I experienced the hair loss. The hair loss occurred at just the bottom tip of my left sideburn, almost 1 inch from the bottom, up to the middle of the sideburn. Day Seven Note: The baking soda phase was by far the worst pain experienced in the 7 days, mostly focused on the back of my head, on the scalp. My hair by this day was also a "crunchy" texture, much like hair with too much gel product in it. D: Testing Information and Results The test was done at a Psychemedics Corporation clinic. The process took approximately 6 minutes, from the time of check in to the time of departure. The samples taken were directly over the area of my crown; one from the right side, one from the center, and one from the left side. Having previous experience with hair drug tests, I intentionally spent an exceptional amount of time and attention to the exact area where the samples were taken from. I stated to the collector I had just colored my hair the day beforehand; she made no special note of it, and stated that it made no difference. The samples taken were not very close to my scalp, rendering any recent abstinence time practically obsolete. The samples taken appeared to be no longer than 2 inches long. I am not certain of the results of this test, yet. The samples were taken today, and may take 2-3 business days to complete. Psychemedics Corporation will send the results to the employer, who will then contact me with a hire date if the test proves negative. If the test proves positive, Psychemedics Corporation will contact me directly and inform me of the dire news. Of course, regardless of the results, I will create a follow-up post in the results thread. Hopefully, it will be a good result. Special thanks to Jerry G, Kushnotbush, and Invaded Privacy for all of the help and information they have been and continue to post in these incredibly powerful forums. These people are an incredible asset to the community here at marijuana.com. I hope this post will help assist others in their quests to beat the system, and I wish you all good luck on whatever endeavors you seek to accomplish. |
