Hair testing mainly targets those who consistantly smoke weed rather than those who are casual smokers? By casual, I mean the once or twice a month folks. Also, does the amount of hair and where they cut it matter? (as in how close they cut to the root)

-Ya thats what they say, but even 1-2 times a month can show up depending how long ago you smoked and the legnth of the hair sample they take.

Also, does the amount of hair and where they cut it matter?

- Yes, the sample they usually want is 1 and 1/2 inches from a couple places on the back of your head. Even though many people have said before that they have taken waaay less then that. The 1 and 1/2 inch sample is said to go back 90 days. A good estimate to use would be that every half inch they cut will in general show a 30 day usage period. Even though many factors can effect that.


This is just my .02 cents from what I have experienced and from what I have read right here on these boards. Im not considering myself an expert but I've been stressing about the f'ing test for a while and have researched it pretty thoroughly.
