| Hi first time poster loooooooooooong time lurker here with two pretty good questions about Hair testing. I'm 21 male i smoked for about a year (oct 2002-june 02, and did it a handful of times between july and august but completely stopped aug 9 2003). I have long hair down to my shoulders and i smoked ONCE (no more than 5 hits) on June 25th 2004. I have a job interview coming up (monday) and i know this particular employer gives you a hair test for employement. I regretted doing it the moment i smoked it and i knew it was going to come back to haunt me.I'm debating if i should just blow this interview off and apply somewhere else. I'm worried that they will find identify trace amounts of marijuana in my hair from that one time use since the detection time is up to 90 days. Is it likely they will find enough to meet the cut off ( i remember reading there is a cut off amount to find in a hair sample) to pass for my test since i used it only once a month ago? Also since I have long hair (down to my shoulders) do they ALWAYS follow procedure and test the hair closest to the scalp (1 1/2 in from scalp from what ive read) or will they kinda scan all my hair to see what kind of user i am? (stopped for 10 months, and used ONCE since a month ago) And i dont want to hear the classic "oh just shave your head" because i dont want to cut my hair in this point in time and they can collect it from other parts of the body. Thanks if anybody knows these things. |
