Today I found out I passed my test. Thanks to everyone who posts information. When I bought the "stinger total wash" there were two guys on probation in the headshop that said it works everytime. The guy at the counter said with the inside(stinger)/outside(ultra clean) wash I'm sure to pass. The 2xs-1T bleach 1T peroxide 3oz H&S PM3, the 3bleach 2redye, the H&S 1x baking soda paste PM3 the night before, the 2 stinger H&S PM3 ultra clean the morning of, I'm sure were necessary. I smoke alot of high quality MM. If I passed 16 days clean there is hope for us all.

Heres what I did...

Day 1:

Cut off 2 1/2 ft of hair to 3 inches all over head, bleach, rinse, metalex for 20 minutes, rinse, dye, rinse and then "shampoo'd" with laundry detergent and metalex (not to do the tide thing... it was just the closest item nearby besides dish soap).

Day 2:

1:1 mix of T-Gel and metalex in morning. After work baking soda paste, metalex/T-gel rinse, bleach, rinse, metalex treatment, rinse, dye, metalex/t-gel rinse and finally applied aloe extract loaded with lavendar essential oil directly to scalp to help with chemical irritation (support your local herbalist).

Day 3:

T-Gel and 1:1 mix of T-Gel and metalex in morning. Dye, T-Gel rinse, Omni Cleansing Shampoo 2x, Metalex treatment and a spray in conditioner for shits and grins.

I'm getting ready to walk out the door now for my test. Send out those "pass the test" vibes for me!

Next report when I get results.

Did you use household bleach, or 40 volume developer mixed with powdered bleach?

I suppose I should have done a 3rd bleach but man... I'm STILL pulling out dead bits of scalp. It was brutal.

I appreciate your input on all this. I know I'll never try for another job that does hair testing. Especially on such short notice.

However, since there is a random and post accident testing policy at my new job (urine), I am done smoking, PERIOD!!! I will never go through this stress again. My family and our financial future is to much to risk... I am more than happy to hang with the wife while she indulges...MORE FOR HER

The wife and I really enjoy this site and will be lurking and posting from time to time.

Just got the call. Failed for THC. 10 days clean.

I passed the same test last year, but I had more clean time and did more to my hair.

I'd say most people here would pass regardless of what they do to their hair. The ones that fail are the daily users, like myself. The only regular users that pass are the ones that totally destroy their hair.

I only did 1 bleach, and 2 dyes. I'm regretting it now. I should have done bleach, dye, bleach, dye, bleach, dye.

to completely update my experience:

psych medics test

85 days clean (it was pit hair so i was worried because i've never put a blade to them in my life)

i have black hair. i used the darkest brown to redye and it looked black

i did 3 bleaches and 3 redyes with a day or two between each one

each time i washed out the product with All Clear shampoo/gel and Ion swimmer shampoo for a total of 6 washes

Hey everyone, passed psych amedics test. heres the story.

Sept 10th. Stopped smoking. Tested on Oct 20th Previously very heavy smoker, chronic since I was 15. stopped once for about 3 months 2 years ago, at least a few hits every day for the past year for sure. I am 22 years old, 180lbs hispanic. First week I did a Malibu2000 treatment at my girls salon. Sat under a dryer for about 20 mins with a cap on. for the next couple weeks did baking soda, vinegar, clean and clear, and some lemon juice treatments. I also used a Malibu2000 swimmers shampoo, hard water remover for regular shampooing. both with propylic glycol or whatever. I also used Tsal followed by these shampoos about 3 times. about 30 days before test I did one bleach w/40 developer, redyed with 30 developer. washed bleach out with strong clarifying shampoo used to strip color. continued using swimmers shampoo. about 10 days before psych test I passed a home confirm test. I bleached redyed one more time for a total of 2 times. This was 3 days before test, just wanted to be sure. Went in took the test, results came in 3 days. passed!! Thanks jerry, sec for all the advice and reassurance. Everyone just stop smoking for a month do the redyes and your all gravy. No need to worry and stress over anything if you just quit and don't cheat before your test. Also, fyi i used powder bleach and paul mitchell hair dye.
