Yup.. I failed. I got suckered into $180 worth of crap!!! Sure wish I had read about the Mac method before spending the cash!! Smoked everyday..quit 7 days before test...did both Aloe Rid products 5x..and used the Afterburner CRAP the day of!! FAILED FAILED FAILED!!!!! Lost a great job! What ever happened to good old fashioned pee tests??? Ahhh those were the days!!

I passed my test!!!!!! I start next week. Some background for you.... I smoked at least two joints a day everyday for the last couple of years. I had been 12 days clean before I started my hair treatment. I am a Hispanic male and have hair down to my chin...all one length. It is very think and black. The first day I used the macujo treatment at night. I did it the way it was recommended. I also used the nexus aloe rid shampoo and treatment that night as well. The next day in the morning I did it again but this time I left the vinegar in for 30 min. Then the clean and clear for 20 min then the tide. Then I left the aloe rid shampoo on for 30 min and the aloe rid treatment on for 30 min as well. I also did it again at night for the recommended time. Through out the day I used swave aloe shampoo and conditioner to try to take away the smell of the vinegar. Before my test I used the aloe rid shampoo and treatment 10 min each. Let an hour pass and used All Clear shampoo purchased at a local head shop. I took the test last Friday. Today Thursday...almost a week later I had not heard anything so I called and thy told me everything came back clear and I will start next week. I don't know if I qualify as a moderate or a heavy smoker since 2 a day every day is moderate to me.... (Seeing as some people hear smoke more) and I don't know witch treatment I did actually worked for me. I really don't care. I only paid
5 bucks each for the nexus, 30 for the all clear, 5 for the tide, 3 for the clean and clear and 1.50 for the vinegar. Total lest than 50 bucks. I was worried because my hair is lick horsehair...very thick but it worked. Hope my recount helps some of you. Good luck and prayers to all.

First of all, my situation: I'm a 5'7 female, 135 lbs, average metabolism. I have really long, very thick dark hair (caucasian).

I have smoked weed regularly (almost daily sometimes) for as long as I can
remember. I continued to do this until the day of my test. I also take vicodin/percocet sometimes, in generous quantities on and off for the past several months. I also went through a period of about 6 weeks doing white semi regularly. I hadn't touched that for almost 3 months before the test.

I had a couple weeks notice for the test, so I started by washing daily with AloeRid or Paul Mitchell 3, and doing the AloeRid Clarifying treatment a few times a week. I also did MacCujo a few times a week.

A few days before my test I bleached my hair and dyed it back to its natural color.

The night before the test I did MacCujo and another aloerid treatment.

The morning of the test I used Root Clean.

My test results just came back and the only thing I tested positively for was cocaine. (Which suprised me because that's something I did not do as regularly, recently, or in a significant quantity like I had weed and opiate rx meds.)

Hi all.

Got some good news, info and some questions...

I'm a 30 year old female, five foot two, 120 with long, naturally dark, very thin hair I've been dying blond for ten years, not very active. Also, my stylist said I have very porous hair, which helps the flow of toxins out of the hair. For the past few years I have been a moderate smoker (average four or five times a week, mostly at night to go to bed).

I found out four weeks ago I have to take a hair test for a new high profile job. I immediately stopped smoking. Two weeks later (on a Sunday), I found out that the test would be a hair test (as opposed to urine) and that it would be given sometime in the following month. The following Tuesday I went to my salon and asked what they could do. My stylist performed three Bumble & Bumble hair stripping treatments in a row (they take about twenty minutes each and cost $45 each). Immediately after my treatment at the salon I took a hair sample and sent it in to Psychemedics (PDT-90 test). So, by that time, I had stopped smoking for about two weeks and done the three salon treatments only.

I then bought three recommended shampoos:

1. PM3
2. Nexxus Aloe Rid Shampoo
3. Bumble & Bumble Sunday Shampoo (with EDTA)

My stylist also instructed me not to use any cream condition (apparently, it seals the hair and makes the stripping agents less effective), and recommended I purchase a spray leave-in conditioner (proprietary brand from the high-end salon) that also contained EDTA.

I just received my PDT-90 results...negative for everything!

Since I took the sample, I have done another round of the triple stripping at my salon, done Macujo once, washed with all three shampoos every day, soaked in the jacuzzi at 102 degrees each night and followed with the spray conditioner. I'm scheduled to take the "real" test in a week or two. I plan on doing another round at the salon, macujo before the test, daily shampooing/jacuzzi/conditioner and having a dye job right before. I'll be sure to post the results. Fingers crossed!

Now for the question...

Has anyone seen anyone fail a corporate test after passing a PDT-90 (providing they havn't smoked in the interim)? I'm not sure whether the corporate and PDT-90 tests are the same, and whether this is going to work, or whether I should continue with Macujo, which burned the hell out of my head! Any info would be very much appreciated!

I am a 35 year old white male. 5'10", 170 lbs and fairly active. 45 days prior to receiving an incredible job offer from a large tire manufacturer, I smoked a few hits of normal weed...not outstanding by any stretch of the imagination. Prior to that, I had been clean for months. The offer was on condition that I pass a hair test. The first thing I did was stall for time. I was able to postpone the test 15 days through a series of business trip excuses. Additionally, the day I found out it was a hair test, I shaved all of my body hair down to 1/8th of an inch. I was going to make sure that they took hair from my head. I used aloe rid for a week or so as my normal shampoo, but rather than use macujo or other methods, I decided that the only surefire way to pass was to get rid of any evidence. So, just before the test, I got a buzz cut down to .75 inches....which gave me a .25 inch cushion if .5 inch per month hair growth is accurate.

I took the test at Concentra. The test administrator initially balked at the short hair length, but I was able to convince her that I was training for a triathalon and so forth, so the hair on my head was as good as it gets. As she was snipping away (she took 5 cuts), she said that Psychemedics will only accept samples above .5 inches.....good information to pass along. I received notice I passed about 5 days later. I'm now working at a dream job.

Based on comments in this forum, given my light use, I probably would have passed even if I did nothing, but you never know. I also probably should have ordered the home test as I had the time....but all's well that ends well. Let me say thanks to all who have posted information on this site. It was a great resource.

ok, i moved to Las Vegas for a job a few days ago. Today i had to take my hair test. It went to lab that gets the results back the next day. I used the Macujo method, but I left each step in for an hour. Then I would wash it out with Aloe Rid shampoo and baking soda, and then put the Aloe Rid treatment in and leave that in over night. I completed this about 5 or 6 times. And i did the Aloe Rid shampoo and treatment alone a few times, always leaving the treatment in overnight. I was supposed to take my test yesterday but after doing some processing through Human resources, I didn't have time. So yesterday before my anticipated test, i found a salon that would help me out. They did a deep cleansing with two ingredients, and stuck me under the dryer for an hour. They said that it was important to get to the lab ASAP because time if of the essence. Well i ended up having to take the test today instead. So first thing in the morning i went back to the salon for another deep cleaning. Within a half hour, i took my test. I have the number for this salon, the staff there was very understanding and on my side. Tomorrow or Friday at the latest I will get my results back. The lab took 3 cuts out of my hair. In the back, about 2 inches behind each ear, and somewhere in between. I haven't smoked in a little over 3 weeks, and i wasn't a heavy smoker to begin with. I've posted on this earlier without much response. If this all works out for me, I'd be happy to give you guys the number for the salon. Wish me luck!

I am 5"2 118 pounds lite smoker(MJ only)Last time was 5 weeks ago.before that only smoked 6 times since november 2004.I started mac method 3 days before test.First treatment no burning at all.So next day I did vinager then put steaming hot towel on head then plastic bag to keep towel hot then wrapped heating pad around plastic bag.Each step of method I kept putting new hot towel on like I said before.Second treatment felt the burning.Third day (day of test) Did the same thing.Each step left on 30 minutes each w/hot steaming towel plastic bag heating pad.WOW was my head on fire!!!!! I figured the longer I kept it on and my scalp hot the pores in scalp would get cleanned out at least I am hoping.I need this job!!! That is why I picked the name not2brite.I love to smoke but still I knew better.Someday I hope to beable to smoke once agian but until that time comes I will stay clean.Good luck skunkape001 and deutchland I am praying for a big fat NEGATIVE For you!!!!!
P.S. The only method I used was the mac method( Vinager/clean and clear w/ astringent/Tide detergent W/furbrezze scent/aloerid shampoo then aloerid treatment.Also got a haircut to about 2 inches.The hair will will grow back the job will be worth it!Wish me luck!!!!!

Well I have to say I had alot of doubt in the mac method.But it worked for me.I am a very infrequent smoker but this method worked for me! I start my new job tuesday.This is the method I did it might seem a little extreme.I only used the maccujo method and nothing else.Here it is:

Three days before test:
First day:I did the mac method(Saturated my hair w/Apple cider vinegar.Left on for about 20 minutes.Then added clean and clear W/astringent I found that at walmart.Make sure you srub every inch of your scalp with the clean and clear.Scrub about five minutes straight.Left that in for another 20 minutes.Then I shampooed in Tide W/Furbrezze scent in it.I used that type hoping it would get the vinegar smell out.Left that in another 20 minuets.Then washed all out.Then used Aloerid shampoo washed out.Then used Aloerid Treatment deep clarifying solution.These are used to strip the of build up and impurities in your hair.My head did not tingle or burn the first time.Not sure if my hair was just so moisturized from months of using saloon hair products or not.If you do this method make sure you have gloves and applying vinager and clean and clear try to put them in a spray bottle much easier.Don't let stuff drip on any skin it will leave skin red and very dry.

Second day before test:
I did all of the above steps.Only one difference.You figure that heat opens pores and cold closes pores.So After each step.I had a pile of clean damp towels.After each step I put one towel in microwave to get steaming hot then wrapped on head put a plastic bag around towel then heating pad to makes sure pores stayed open for all the products I put on my head to get into pores as long as possible.Boy then I did get the burn!!!!!!!

Day off test:
I did all same as above.Then only thing is I did for 30 minuets each step.I was a crying baby by this time.Oh my this is a burning sensation I have never felt before!!! After you do the test if you have the red burning scalp and itching like I had if you can rub vasaline onto scalp and anywhere it burns and itches.I also got about 2 inches of hair cut off a few days before test.

Well I wish all of you good luck and I think it does help to stop smoking as soon as you find out about your dreaded test.

Well my husband got offered a great job recently, and after he got the offer he was told he had to have a hair test. I didn't think this would be a big deal until he told me he smoked a few times in June and July. After finding this board, he did the mac method, plus bought some detox shampoo online. He had his hair test yesterday and probably won't find out till Friday or Monday. I'm hoping it will come out ok, since he only smoked a couple of times, and before that he hasn't smoked in years... but we will see. It's crazy this stupid job(as great as the money is) is with a government contract, so he has to have a background check, credit check, fingerprints and drug test and all he will be doing is working on computers. I just don't get it. I'll let you know if he passes.
I'm hoping the mac method works.
