Apparently they can take clippings/scrapings off your fingernails....

So best bet would be to leave some kind of body hair and treat it with bleach and or MacCujo, or Idavisas method as I haven't heard of anyway to clean fingernails yet.... yet... haha.... if theres a will theres a way

Thank God for us tokers that THC is the hardest drug for hair analysis to find...

Well, my armpit hairs are about 1/2 an inch long. I don't know if that will cut it...no pun intended...

I've been reading on here for the last few months and made an account to post that i PASSED. I had to take a pre-employment test, it was with Omega labs. Quit smoking when I found out about the test on 4/2. Took the test 6/3 and it had been 62 days since I last smoked. Used Paul Mitchell 3 shampoo daily (guess it doesn't removed THC metabolites, but just mentioning) and ordered 2 bottles of Toxin Wash and some Zydot. Also went tanning approx. 2x a week because of this article:

Stability of Cannabinoids in Hair Samples Exposed to Sunlight -- Skopp et al. 46 (11): 1846 -- Clinical Chemistry

Used Toxin Wash 2 weeks up to the test, and then finally the day of. Used Zydot the day of.

Got a haircut 2 days before the test to about 1 inch at the longest parts. Also shaved my arms like 2 weeks after I quit smoking so all clean hair had grown back by the time of the test, and clippered my leg and chest hair. I felt pretty gay but it turned out to be worth it. The person who was taking the sample said the hair on my head was too short and wanted to take an arm pit sample, then when she saw my hair was too short, she wanted to take it from my legs. Same thing. She made some comment about how "unhairy" i was and then the cut a tiny amount from the top of my head.

Been reading this forum for the past week or so. Created an account so I could post my results. Thanks so much to everyone for sharing their stories. It truly was the most stressful time of my life. Its good to read these things instead of just the websites that say their product is 99.9% effective.
Facts: 6’3” Male 190 lbs. Fine Light brown hair. Last smoked over 120 days prior to test. Did about 2-3 grams of white 17 days prior to test. Never thought I would have a hair test and knew I would be OK for Urine. That teaches me.
Could not get Bleach and Re Dye because I was interviewing for other jobs at the same time. I did do the hair relaxer/straightener because I already have straight hair so didn’t change appearance.
Did about 7-8 days with combined Macujo/Baking Powder/Idavisa/TSal/Neutragena weekly purifying cleanser/Other 3% Salysilic scalp treatment stuff (CVS) several times a day
Did the Ion Clarifyiing treatment (from Sallys) 2 times
Day before test: Got hair cut to just over 1 ½ inched on top and ½ on sides so could concentrate treatments on top. Bought Revlon Hair Relaxer (with Lye) applied for 20 minutes. Macujo/Idavisa/Toxin Wash(full instructions) 2X
Day of Test: Hair Relaxer (10 Minutes)/Idavisa/Macujo/Baking Powder/FolliClean/Toxin Wash/zydot

It seems there are 3 basic ways labs can use to extract drugs from hair. Alkaline extraction, acid extraction and solvent (methanol) extraction. This article says they seem to use methanol extraction now because it is quicker than acid extraction and alkaline completely degrades the cocaine. That being said the Macujo is in line with the acid extraction. I believe the Tide helps with the Methanol extraction and the Baking powder and Realxer were the alkaline which I think is most important.
Had test Monday and found out Thursday afternoon that I passed! Finally, while I have no issues with recreational drug use, I have decided that I will never do anything again(until it’s legal). I have smoked weed for @ 18 years pretty heavily and very consistently. Also dabbled in other drug use but much less frequently. I am older now with a family and putting my families well being in jeopardy is not worth the high to me.

So I've been reading a lot about passing a hair follicle test because I have to pass one in August. And I feel confident that i'll pass it if they take the hair from my head. But what happens if they take it from the body?
I shaved my armpits and chest, yea, it sucked and i feel like a pre-pubescent teenager.
I have hairy arms and legs and I just think its really impractical to shave it all. Am I basically screwed if they take it from there or are there soaps I can use?
Also, will they take the hair from my head if there is less than an inch and a half of hair, like one inch?
Any insight will be much appreciated...

K so I have a hair test monday and I have never taken one before. This job means a lot to me and I want to make sure I pass. I have been clean for two months now but was around MJ once last saturday in my friends car. All windows were rolled down fairly far as he was smoking because I was worried about second hand smoke. I have had a haircut one week after I quit and it was very short and I had another haircut last saturday which was fairly short too. Tomorrow night I will do the Mac method and then monday I will do it again and in addition I will use omni cleansing shampoo right before I go for my test. Do you think that the shampoo will conflict with the Mac method? And what are my chances of passing? Also which clean and clear do you guys recommend, cream or liquid? Any help would be greatly appreciated this means a lot the me.

I have been smoking MJ for 7 years pretty heavily but my hair only goes back 2 years. I needed a change of scenery so I chopped all my hair off, it was shorter than most men's at that point, but I have had it growing for the past 2 years. Now it is about 6-8 inches below my shoulders. I've read lots of posts, very few good, a lot bad, on the methods on how people stripped their hair. Most said, "just cut it to 1 1/2 inches long". I'm assuming most of these posts are from men, I've had my hair that short and I don't want to go back to it so, Girl, this post is for you!!

The last time I smoked was roughly a month ago..For the past 3 months my smoking habits were very irregular, most of the time if I did smoke it was a bowl or two at night maybe once a month I'd get together with friends and smoke a blunt or bong. Maybe for a week or two I wouldn't smoke at all. Nothing too hardcore. But then again, they can take a section of any of my hair and test it for MJ over a year ago, who knows... I'm hoping the sheer fact that my hair is naturally a light color and not thick will work for me opposed to those with thick or coarse dark hair.

I will post my results in a week or two to let everyone know if this method truly works, especially for the ladies with longer hair. Let's all hope it does for my sake and yours, I can not afford to not get this job!

Sorry it took so long to write back on the posting. I took my test May 22, 2009 and my company received the results on May 27th, 2009. My company did not get back to me with the results until June 19th. 3 WEEKS AFTER I PASSED THE TEST!!! Unfortunately, somebody in corporate filed the results without letting my HR manager know that I passed so I was still working part time hours with full time pay (shows how unreliable the company really is). Fortunately for me though, in those 3 weeks the company was being irresponsible I found a job that will forward my career in a field I absolutely love that has no correlation with what I am doing now. If it wasn't for not knowing of these results I would have never found my dream job so maybe things worked out as they were supposed to. I denied the full time job after passing the test and they now have a chunk of my hair, those bastards!

All in all the MacCujo method DOES work. Even for women with long hair, I did the method 5 days, once a day. The next 3 days I just used T/Sal Shampoo and the night before I also used the last half of the detox shampoo I bought from the head shop. I will tell you that all of that did make my hair feel a lot healthier, most likely because it was ridding the toxins from the hair shaft. It also changed the chemical balance of my hair, it is wavier now, which isn't a big problem for me. I also will never eat Salt and Vinegar chips again, ugh. Good luck everyone!! Thanks to all who have posted on here in the past, it really helped me figure out what I had to do. This so-called "unpassable" test is passable, screw you Government!

The Story:
I wish that I was doing all this for a job but I already have a great job.
Unfortuantly I have a psychotic ex-girlfriend that intentionaly got pregnant then left me and took my daughter.
Now she refuses to let me see her at all.
She sees children as a paycheck. This is the second time she's done this in her life.
The last guy just threw his hands up. I'm not that much of a push over.
The one thing she had against me was weed.
Which she filed with the courts stating it was "a major drug problem that prevents me from being a parent in any way"
So my lawyer asked if I would be willing to take a drug test. I said "Sure, no problem".
Didn't know that he ment a hair follicle test. Doh!

He said that it would be more reliable in the eyes of the court. Too late to back out now.
So now I'm doing everything I can to make sure I can pass and see my little girl.

The Stats:
White male 29 years old.
6'2" 155 lbs.
Always been athletic, fast metabolism. (not that this is relevant in any way)
Fairly thick medium brown hair.
Was 4" long when I found out I needed to take the test.

The Smoking History:
Heavy smoker for the last 15 years.
3 - 15 hits a day (depending on the day).
Occasional day off but not many.
Always good quality nugs.

The Shopping List:

From Walmart:
1 gallon apple cider vinegar
2 bottles clean and clear. Pink with 2% salicylic acid
1 box Arm and Hammer baking soda
1 bottle Tide detergent (liquid original)

From Sally's Beauty Supply:
3 packets Clarol powdered bleach
1 bottle Ion 40 volume creme developer
1 bottle Ion hair dye (medium brown 4N-4.0)
1 bottle Ion 20 volume developer
1 bottle Ion swimmers shampoo
1 bottle Ion swimmers conditioner
(not trying to pitch the Ion but they make some good stuff it seems)

From local head shop:
1 Box Zydot Ultra Clean (got it for $17 on sale)

The Run Down:

6/10/2009 - Smoked last bowl.

6/17/2009 - Found out about hair test.

6/18/2009 - Research, research, research.

6/19/2009 - Bought all ingredients for MacCuj0 method at Walmart. Apple cider vinegar, pink clean and clear, and tide.
Also went to Sally's beauty supply and got Ion swimmers shampoo and conditioner.

6/20/2009 - Had a wedding to attend this weekend and didn't want to start dumping stuff all over my head.
But I did use the swimmers shampoo and conditioner each time I showered for the weekend.

6/21/2009 - Washed hair twice with swimmers shampoo and conditioner.

6/22/2009 - Washed hair twice with swimmers shampoo and conditioner. Went to the wedding...got drunk, good times.

6/23/2009 - Did more research and found out that Jerry G's method might be better for me since I was a heavy smoker.
After work went and got my haircut to 1 1/2 inches.
Then went out and bought 3 packets of powdered bleach, 40 developer, medium brown hair dye, 20 developer, and baking soda.
Got home after work and bleached my hair; left it in for 40 mins.
Came out just a little patchy so i washed it out with the swimmers shampoo and conditioner.
I let the conditioner sit in my hair for about 20 mins while I shaved my upper body.
Let it dry and bleached it agian. Got it real good the second time. Left the bleach in for an hour this time.
Went to the store and bought some beers (yes with the dye in...didn't even phase them at the liquor store).
Came back and washed it out with swimmers shampoo and conditioner again.
I let the conditioner sit in my hair for about 20 mins while i shaved my lower body.
My roomates and I thought i looked pretty funny so I didn't redye it that night. Took a bunch of picture though.
Left it bleached blonde and headed for work the next morning.

6/24/2009 - Lots of laughs and Billy Idol jokes at work. Tired of the blonde by the time I got home.
Redyed my hair to medium brown. Left dye in for 35 minutes.
Washed it out with swimmers shampoo and conditioner. Color actually looks pretty good.

6/25/2009 - Made a baking soda and water paste for my head. Scrubbed into my head, let it sit for 30 mins.
Rinsed out with water. Washed my hair with swimmers shampoo and conditioner.

6/26/2009 - Put baking soda paste in my hair. Let it sit for 30 mins.
Washed hair twice with swimmers shampoo and conditioner.

6/27/2009 - Washed hair twice with swimmers shampoo and conditioner.

6/28/2009 - Washed hair twice with swimmers shampoo and conditioner.

6/29/2009 - More baking soda paste for my head. Scrubbed into my head, let it sit for 30 mins.
Rinsed out with water. Let my hair dry. Hit it with the bleach again. Left the bleach in for
45 minutes. Rinsed it out. Let my hair dry. Took a break for about 2 hours then redyed back to medium brown again.
Dye didn't take quite as good this time. It's ok but I'm thinking one more bleach and redye. Just to be safe.

6/30/2009 - One more time for the fans. Baking soda paste in my hair, set for 30 mins. Washed out with swimmers shampoo.
Let my hair dry. Bleached again and let the bleach sit in my hair for 45 mins. Hair was white this time.
Washed out with swimmers shampoo. Let dry. Redyed back to medium brown. Let the dye sit for 45 mins.
Washed out with swimmers shampoo and conditioner.

7/1/2009 - Did a baking soda treatment when i got home today. Left it in for 30 mins.
Every time I do that i lose some color so I redyed for the last time after.
Well I've been relentless and my head has tolorated it well. Thank you head.
I've decided that tomorrow is D-Day. I'm going in on my own free will so I get to pick the day.
I don't want to put it off any longer and give the courts a reason to question me. I need to look cooperative.

7/2/2009 - Rise and shine bright and early at 5:00am. I have court at 9:30am so i need to bust out the Zydot treatment before I leave
and still have enough time to get my test done before my hearing.
Followed the Zydot directions to a T. I have to say.....the conditioner burned my scalp more than anything else I've done.
It at least gave the illusion that it was really working. Got down to the testing place at 8:30am right when they opened.
They guy at the office was actually pretty cool. We hung out and talked for few. He didn't even suggest taking hair
from anywhere other than my head. No complaints about that one. He took 3 cuttings...all from the crown.
Back left, back right, and back middle. Put them in a piece of folded over metal, put that inside an envolope,
and sent it off to Quest Diagnostics.
It's a holiday weekend so results should be in Monday or Tuesday. Fingers crossed.

Side note:
Went to court after the test and they had messed up my paperwork. Hearing won't be for 3 more weeks!
I hate the court system, worst experience EVER!!! And not just because they want to test me.
I could care less about that. Those people just plain ol suck. They find all kinds of ways delay me
seeing my little girl and suck away all my money. Arghhhhhhh!
I have every intention of writing my congressmen. Sorry for the vent...still pissed.

Guess I could have waited more time before going for the test in but oh well, it's done now.
I'll post results once they come in. I hope there's a chicken dinner out there for me.

I let the conditioner sit in my hair for about 20 mins while i shaved my lower body. My roomates and I thought i looked pretty funny so I didn't redye it that night. Took a bunch of picture though. Left it bleached blonde and headed for work the next morning. 6/24/2009 - Lots of laughs and Billy Idol jokes at work. Tired of the blonde by the time I got home. Redyed my hair to medium brown. Left dye in for 35 minutes. Washed it out with swimmers shampoo and conditioner. Color actually looks pretty good. 6/25/2009 - Made a baking soda and water paste for my head. Scrubbed into my head, let it sit for 30 mins. Rinsed out with water. Washed my hair with swimmers shampoo and conditioner. 6/26/2009 - Put baking soda paste in my hair. Let it sit for 30 mins. Washed hair twice with swimmers shampoo and conditioner. 6/27/2009 - Washed hair twice with swimmers shampoo and conditioner. 6/28/2009 - Washed hair twice with swimmers shampoo and conditioner. 6/29/2009 - More baking soda paste for my head. Scrubbed into my head, let it sit for 30 mins. Rinsed out with water. Let my hair dry. Hit it with the bleach again. Left the bleach in for 45 minutes. Rinsed it out. Let my hair dry. Took a break for about 2 hours then redyed back to medium brown again. Dye didn't take quite as good this time. It's ok but I'm thinking one more bleach and redye. Just to be safe. 6/30/2009 - One more time for the fans. Baking soda paste in my hair, set for 30 mins. Washed out with swimmers shampoo. Let my hair dry. Bleached again and let the bleach sit in my hair for 45 mins. Hair was white this time. Washed out with swimmers shampoo. Let dry. Redyed back to medium brown. Let the dye sit for 45 mins. Washed out with swimmers shampoo and conditioner. 7/1/2009 - Did a baking soda treatment when i got home today. Left it in for 30 mins. Every time I do that i lose some color so I redyed for the last time after. Well I've been relentless and my head has tolorated it well. Thank you head. I've decided that tomorrow is D-Day. I'm going in on my own free will so I get to pick the day. I don't want to put it off any longer and give the courts a reason to question me. I need to look cooperative. 7/2/2009 - Rise and shine bright and early at 5:00am. I have court at 9:30am so i need to bust out the Zydot treatment before I leave and still have enough time to get my test done before my hearing. Followed the Zydot directions to a T. I have to say.....the conditioner burned my scalp more than anything else I've done. It at least gave the illusion that it was really working. Got down to the testing place at 8:30am right when they opened. They guy at the office was actually pretty cool. We hung out and talked for few. He didn't even suggest taking hair from anywhere other than my head. No complaints about that one. He took 3 cuttings...all from the crown. Back left, back right, and back middle. Put them in a piece of folded over metal, put that inside an envolope, and sent it off to Quest Diagnostics. It's a holiday weekend so results should be in Monday or Tuesday. Fingers crossed. Side note: Went to court after the test and they had messed up my paperwork. Hearing won't be for 3 more weeks! I hate the court system, worst experience EVER!!! And not just because they want to test me. I could care less about that. Those people just plain ol suck. They find all kinds of ways delay me seeing my little girl and suck away all my money. Arghhhhhhh! I have every intention of writing my congressmen. Sorry for the vent...still pissed. Guess I could have waited more time before going for the test in but oh well, it's done now.
