I am 99% confident that I passed. It's been a month since I took the test, I've received my first paychecks, and I haven't had the "talk". Based on my research, it appears that 3 weeks tends to be the maximum time for a positive result; therefore I'm concluding that I passed. The following are my specifics: I'm a caucasian male with very frequent exercise, and I quit about one month before the test. Approximately one week before I took the Psychmedtronics test, I did Macujo once per day for three days. After Macujo, I used Nexus Aloe Rid Gentle Clarifying Shampoo, then Paul Mitchell Shampoo 3. I would have done more Macujo, but that method is pretty harsh on the skin. So, I waited until approximately 3 hours before the test before completing my final preparations. These preparations included a quick swim at my local fitness club. Then, I came home and showered with Macujo followed by the Nexus and Paul Mitchell shampoos mentioned previously. Then, I used hydrogen peroxide with a 5 minute dwell and rinsed. Finally, I finished with an application of Zydot Ultraclean. Here are a few details that one might consider while preparing for this godawful ordeal: 1) When doing Macujo, I left all ingredients in the hair until the final rinse. If for some reason the dwell period at a specific step couldn't be attained, I started all over from scratch. 2) I always used a clean towel. 3) I always cleaned my entire body because I never knew where they'd take the sample from. BTW, they took their sample from the back of my head. 4) I always scrubbed vigorously at each stage of the various procedures. 5) Macujo is pretty harsh. I used swimming goggles to prevent the various chemicals from dripping into my eyes. IF YOU USE GOGGLES, DON'T FORGET TO CLEAN THE HAIR UNDER THE RUBBERBAND HOLDING THE GOGGLES IN PLACE. THIS IS THE EXACT PLACE WHERE THEY TOOK MY SAMPLE FROM. 6) For men, consider shaving your pubes, then coating your genitals with petroleum jelly while doing Macujo. Macujo made my genitals itch bad, but if I had shaved the hair and used the petroleum jelly protection, they couldn't have gone there for a hair sample, and the dripping Macujo residue wouldn't have gained access to my skin. This is because petroleum jelly is hydrophobic and repels water and water-based materials like vinegar. 7) For women, I wouldn't recommend coating your genitals in petroleum jelly. I'm sorry. I don't have any advice for you here. 8) Finally, it's been repeated in these forums before, but get a spray bottle to apply the different solutions. It's much more manageable. This is freedom?

I had a hair test about a week ago and passed for pot -- but unfortunately for me -- failed for another substance. I had smoked for like two weeks, about a j a day, the last time being about two weeks before the test. (Before that, I hadn't smoked in a long time). In addition, I had used the "other" stuff about five times over the previous 3 months. I used Mac method every night for about a week before the test, and teh morning of the test used a hair cleansing shampoo about four hours before the test; I then used another shampoo -- All Clear -- about an hour and a half before the test. The test was Psychmedics. They took hair from four different spots on my head -- bout an inch and a half to two inches from each spot. The pot didn't show up, but the other did, which was a concern of mine, as I've heard that the Mac method and shampoos do not work as well for things other than pot. Oh well, my mistake; life moves on; can't let it get me down.

Well, I finally got back the results of my pre-employment hair follicle test this morning. I needed to get tested for a partime seasonal job with an insurance company. Hard to believe I may not be able to enroll seniors in the new Medicare Part D drug card program. I have been in this business for 20 years with no filed complaints at all in the three states I work in. This is SO stupid, checking a 50 year old professional for pot smoking on weekends... You can be an alchoholic, beat your wife and kids, and be suicidal...that's ok. But smoke a little reefer??? No way dude. I could afford to purchase all the alleged miracle potions designed to help you beat the hair test. I did the Chujo method, I used Paul Mithchel 3 shampoo, I used All Clear, Clear Choice, and Nexux Rid Shampoo. I started using most of those products 7 days before my test. I also did not smoke pot during that time. I used everything while following instructions to the "T". I don't undertand how All Clear can promiss to double your money back on their guarantee, but I will soon find out. Several of the products alledge that they have chemicals in them that actually coat the part of the hair they are testing, so you can't fail. I am not a negative person, but would have to come to the conclussions that the only way to beat a hair test is to abstain after shaving your hair. The new hair will come in clean and you can then pass the test. Believe me, I am an obsessive compulsive person, and I did the procedures properly and faithfully, My hair is blonde, thin, and short (1"). The Old Hippie will just have to stay self-employed.

Just wanted to throw my brief story in for the very rare or single use people out there who are fretting about their test. I smoked half a bowl, two weeks prior to getting a hair test. Just got word that I passed. Thank christ. What a stressful week. Didn't do any prep to my hair. They actually ended up taking it off my leg.

I've been a pretty faithful user for years, but less so in the last few. I've probably smoked an average of once a week for about two years now. The last six months specifically, I've taken a week off here and there. I quit 17 days before my hair test (pre-employment). I did MacCujo every night for the four nights before the test and an hour before on the actual day, leaving the vinegar on for 15 minutes and the salicylic acid for 10. I did Aloe Rid twice the day before and once the morning of, leaving it on for 30 minutes each time. I just got word that my hair test came back positive for marijuana. No go for me!! :bawl: Edited to add: It was a Psychemedics test. They reportedly ran it twice, and it was positive both times.....
