I know there are posts about this already, just wanted to get some advice on my story. I may have to take a hair follicle test soon for a custody issue. Here's my info: female 5'5" heavy build, slow metabolism daily smoker of cheap stuff, 1 bowl or less per day last smoke was 3 weeks ago Chin length brown hair, regularly died darker My hair was permed like 5 weeks ago, over hair color done 7 weeks ago. Last smoke again, was like 3 weeks ago. I have smoked for a long time, pretty much daily, but not the good stuff, and only like a bowl or less per day (small bowl) Since finding out about the possible test, I have done the macujo method 3-4 times (apple cider vin, clean and clear pink, tide, then follow up with T-sal 3% salysic acid shampoo. ) Couldnt find the Nexxus Aloe Rid yet or PM3 shampoos. Will look today. Also washed my hair with Biowash from head shop after the first Macujo treatment. Last night, I bought a perm relaxer treatment and re-straightened my hair, since the macujo screwed up my perm. I am considering possibly getting a pretty short hair cut, as I may have a month or more to let it grow back out and get another trim. I bought a bleaching kit but hesistating for now because my hair is so dry from being overprocessed the last 2 months. This is VERY important to me. If I test positive, custody could be changed! I am so nervous and feeling sick inside. Why did I feel it was ok to smoke to go to sleep??? I feel horrible now! I could never explain this! ![]() ![]() What do ya'll think my chances are of passing? What should I do to increase my chances? Should I buy a mail-in test to see if I pass that one?? Are those as accurate as say a court ordered test? I am so lost!

to Frkoutmama... I wasn't as heavy a smoker so I feel for you but you have some clean time in already so that's good. SInce you weren't smoking really good sh*t, that helps too I'm sure. The dyes you have done in the past, did they bleach too, the bleach is the important step? A perm is great. I've seen it work for a lot of people. It opens the hair up so the toxins can come out and lowers the toxins that can be detected significantly. I opted for the bleach, toxin wash in between, then redye because a perm makes me look like a poodle. Anway if you already used the relaxer too, I think that's the harshest and best way to open the hair to remove the toxins. You might have wanted to combine it with toxin wash because it's a powerful cleaning agent, I think even better than tide! If you have another month before the test you will be 1/2 way to clean and I think you have done a lot already to pass. I haven't heard of Biowash. Toxin wash worked for me but most people here swear by ZYDOT. It's hard to come up with a plan of action but relax, mac every 3 days or so to calm your nerves. Hair grows 1/2 month so that mey help you if you decide to get it cut. If you decide to bleach and redye, rule of thumb is a week or so before the test. Make sure you wash the hair with something powerful after the bleach and before the redye. I personally don't think you need to with the other things you have done but I'm not an expert. I even collected the vinegar from the mac treatments in a bucket and reused it until the night before and day of the test when I used clean stuff. When you find out your test day mac the days leading up to it and buy some ZYDOT for the day of. Hope this helps. You'll be fine.

I found out today that I passed my hair test!! Used the bleach/redye method on my chest, arms & underarms along with Omni and Zydot. Check the thread "Smokeless for 30 days" for the details and the steps I followed. By the way, I used a bleach that is specifically for body hair because the 40 volume hair bleach was too strong to use on my chest and armpits. I got it at CVS Pharmacy. Thanks to Jerry G and everyone else for the help.

| What a great feeling after the stress of waiting and second guessing whether I'd done enough to pass. Once you send in the sample it's too late to change anything so do your research and listen to the people who've already helped others be successful...Thanks again to Jerry G, Stupid user, and Sec. I'm sure there were others who didn't post but had best wishes as well, so thanks to you also. | I PASSED PASSED PASSED and PASESED PASSED PASSED! Called the HMO yesterday and they said I was negative! I think I aged 10 years in the course of 2 weeks. I'm starting to think this country is run by a bunch of Nazi's. Can you say invasion of privacy! I can't even begin to think of how hair testing is legal. They are already fighting lawsuits because of racial bias. I think that's our best chance of getting it outlawed. Well the good part is I keep my job, my house, my life. I tell you it changes your perspective on what you think of your crummy job. Oh well now I can go back to tokin', cleanin' the house, and listening to my tunes in peace and get on with my growing plans. I ain't "goin' down that road feelin' bad" no more! The method that I used was a combination of mac and bleach and redye and toxin wash. You can see it on the page before this one. http://www.marijuana.com/blood-hair-...tml#post869734 Love this site! By far the best resource for hair testing available. Thanks to Jerry G and all fellow sufferers. We can do it! Sara Last edited by mariduana76 : 02-13-2008 at 01:14 AM. |

ok here is my situation. 5'6 female with brown shoulder length hair. I know it might sound ridiculous to some people but I smoked a pretty good amount about a month ago. The last time before that was not since July/August. In two weeks I have my final interview with a very prominent company that does hair test. Thing is it is an internship so I dont know if they will make me get a hair test of just a urine test. I really want the job and if I have to will do the Macujo method. Does Macujo strip your hair of coloring? I am possibly also looking into getting a perm. Since i would have smoked only once in the past 5 months do you think I will have to go all out with Macujo and perm or will a perm do the trick. Thanks so much for any advise!

So here's my story: Female, slim, long strawberry blond hair working for UK organisation which does pre-employment and random hair tests. Passed the pre-employment one thanks to this site, then got sprung a random one with a couple of weeks notice, giving me a short amount of time to prepare. Since taking this job I have cut my smoking down to once every 6-8 weeks or so, so I might have passed anyway given my low levels of usage. However, I am pretty sure that my organisation would have tested all of my hair, not just the last 90 days so I would have had several sessions included in my hair sample which is probably about 3 years in length. I had 2 weeks to prep for the test, and was reluctant to do the mac method given that it made my hair smell like dirty laundry for a week last time. Instead, I used PM3 5-6 times, then had my hair straightened (relaxed) using an Xtenso product a couple of days before the test. This product contains propyl gycerol (sic) and hydrogen peroxide which I think are the key ingredients. This was then followed by use of GHD straightening irons which operate at about 220 degrees. The tester asked me if I had dyed or bleached my hair, but didn't ask about the straightening. I was on tenterhooks for 2 weeks as if it had come back positive I would have been marched out of the building by some burly guards which would have been humiliating to say the least. So, when I got the call to say I had passed I was over the moon. Thanks again to all on this site which has helped me through the last 3 weeks enormously. It is great to know that there are so many people out there in the same predicament and that everyone is rooting for everyone else.

I have been reading this forum for a few days preparing for my very own hair test, and am impressed with the community pulling together to keep the kind bud from ruining lives. I am also an avid researcher, and I need some clarification on the mac method: I have read in many places that alkalinity opens the cuticle to allow hair colors to penetrate the cortex, and acidity closes the cuticle back down, with an ideal hair pH of 5.5. The mac method uses vinegar (a strong acid) then a cleanser. Isn't this counterproductive. Wouldn't ammonia be a better "pretreatment" for the cleanser? Just wondering.

Ok, I was SO stressed out over this damn hair test that I have to detail my situation to help others who were in my position!!! Heavy white male (280lbs) Brown Hair Daily smoker until about 21 days prior to my test...completely abstained for 3 weeks and only smoked twice the week before my final smoke so I had between 2-4 weeks of clean or cleaner hair growth...I've read in some places that the THC enters your hair growth for six days after you last smoke so I'm assuming I had two clean weeks... Found out about my hair test four days in advance so I started doing as much research as I possibly could. Thankfully I found this thread and read thru the vast majority of the posts...I decided to do the Macujo method and use a masking shampoo from the head shop (All Clear is what I used...). Friday - Found out about test Saturday - Macujo'd three times, used Clarifying shampoo a few times Sunday - Macujo'd three times, used Aloe Rid multiple times Monday - Macujo'd one time, used Aloe Rid multiple times Tuesday - Used All Clear shampoo immediately before I drove down to the testing facility...scared to death and praying the whole time I drove. I don't know if it was the constant prayer, the Macujo method, or the All Clear shampoo --- but honestly it does not matter, the bottom line is I passed. I invested about $100 in total for the Macujo items, Aloe Rid, other clarifying shampoo, and the All Clear shampoo -- totally worth the money, even though I could have gotten some nice nugs with that same $100 --- oh well. Good luck to all of you out there trying to get your job, keep your kids, or stay out of jail --- fuck the man, it's a plant and it is the safest narcotic on the planet!!!
