Heavy smoker 3-4 times a day - about 5 hits each time - always good stuff - I have always been extremely succesful and already make well over 6 figures in my own business but an amazing opportunity came up. When I found out I stopped smoking for about 17 days before the test. I started calling everyone I knew and found a hairdresser who says she has never had anyone fail a hair test (she is supposedely 20 for 20) after her treatment. I paid $250 to have her bleach my hair twice (left in for 20 mins each time) - She then re-dyed my hair 3 times to get it back to the natural color (almost). I did this 3 days before my test as I was traveling out of town the day before. The day of the test I used bio-wash as the local store owner says he has never heard anyone complaining and everyone always runs back to him complaining if they fail.

It has been a week and I have heard no news which I guess is good news. I am still not convinced the results are back cause it was late in the day and they had to mail the sample to the lab so it probably didnt get out to the next day - 5 business days have now passed. I will let everyone know as soon as I get a guaranteed result or don't hear for another week or so. My question to everyone is this. Has anyone ever heard of an inconclusive hair test result? 2nd question - Has anyone ever been notified that they failed and denied it - since the tests are not 100% accurate anyway - this way at least you get a second shot and can try something else. Feedback is greatly appreciated!

Well, after getting some awesome advice from this site, I have FINALLY taken my long-awaited hair test today. Let me tell you guys the story on what happened today and then I'll go into detail on my methods. Basically, I have two job offers. One, I already took a urine test for and the job is pretty much mine and pays really good. The other, the one that requires the hair test, pays really, really good. So after getting the final interview today with the really, really good company, they said they would call me Monday and possibly send me for a drug test. I was so pissed because I woke up this morning and Maccujoed and did a Zydot treatment. But then about five minutes after I left, he called back and they made the decision to send me for the test, which indicates pending results, the job is mine!!!

Well, I have been clean for 20 days, before that had one smoking session on the 5th and then was clean for about a week prior to that session. Smoked about 2-3 times a week for three weeks in April and a few bowls at the end of March. I started Maccujoing on the 12th once a day then after two days started doing it twice a day using a generic Aloe-rid shampoo after the Tide in the method. I maccujoed between 20-25 times during that period. The last few treatments, I left everything in double time and let me tell you....OUCH!!! Then this morning, maccujoed and did Zydot treatment and applied regular hair gel. I did get a haircut on May 19th where as my hair was about an inch and a half long and told her to cut it down to one inch. The haircut I got before that was on April 30th. I went to the drug testing place and she cut only one sample from the back and two from the front which I wasn't expecting, but I did wash all of my hair so I'm ok on how I applied it. She was going to go for chest or armpit hair and I had shaved it all off about a week ago and my leg hairs weren't long enough! The test was through Quest Diagnostics. I hope this was nice and detailed and sorry for it being so long! Can the experts give me some odds on my chances of passing this damn thing!! I have been stressing for a while now. But at least I have a fallback but I'm talking about a 10,000 dollar difference a year in salary!! Either way, I will let everyone know what the results are and once again, thanks for everything!!!

edit: oh yeah, both jobs have a target date of me starting June 4th, so not much waiting time, I will have an answer really soon from the hair test!!

This sentence makes no sense to me. maybe it is just me.

Sorry for the confusing sentence. What he meant was with the other shampoo products he often has people coming back to him complaining that they failed. With Bio-wash he never has. He had Zydot and at least one other brand but he was very sure that Bio-wash was the best. I had been to other stores that were recommending Zydot (they didnt carry Bio-wash) but this guy was so convincing that Bio-wash is the best so thats what I went with.

I passed both my hair and urine test, and honestly was kind of shocked. I only went 2 weeks without smoking, and only did the maccujo method the morning of the test and just diluted for the urine test.

well i havn't been around for the last couple weeks.....because i passed my hair test and i have been at work!! l33t!!

anyway here are the particulars. I am a white male, 22, about 160lbs with blond hair. i was a fairly heavy smoker until around 2 months prior to my test and then had only one toke session about 2 weeks before the test. I used the maccujo method 4 times with the 1% salysillic acid and twice with the 2%. i used the 1% 4 days prior to the test both morning and evening and the 2% the night before and day of.

I would usually leave the vinagar in for 10 to 15 minutes making sure to massage it into my scalp well. I would then apply the clean and clear liberally and leave it in for another 10 to 15 minutes. i then washed my hair with the tide and rinsed.

i can say that it was absolutely the maccujo method that helped me pass the test (and maybe a bit of luck) because that was the only treatment that i used. thank you all for your help in this matter. now if i can only find some bud in houston i will be set

I've read all 507 postings. All very useful info. I am posting to get some peace of mind, if someone would be so kind as to share their thoughts...

Stats:

43 y/o female
Been smoking 20+ years but recreational only (i.e. intermittent weekends only, share a bowl or two with husband)
Decreased use to about once per month or less around October 2006 and used only 2 or 3 times in last 90 days (again small sessions, pretty spread out)
Light, thin, reddish hair, with some grey coming in
5'1", 135 lbs.

Situation:

Had initual interview and was told to come in again to meet w/HR to complete negotiations and sign offer letter. SURPRISE!!! Nurse took chunk of hair for testing right then & there on Friday. Been freaking out all weekend (it's Tuesday, and Monday was a holiday). No prep done - was caught completely off guard! Though I do color my hair about every 6 weeks to cover grey.

Questions:

What are my chances of passing; would I be considered "occassional user" and hopefully w/b below tolerance?

When do you think results will come in (we're supposed to be moving out of our apartment this week, contingent on whether I actually have this job)?

Quite a pickle, huh? I REALLY REALLY want that Chicken Dinner...
