Let me first start by saying I am a white male 6'1", 135lbs, dirty blonde thin soft hair, with a fast metabolism. I had to take the dreaded Psychemedics test today (monday may 5th). Now i quit smoking several months ago i was able to pass a home THC test on Feb27th. I had my hair cut 4 times in the period i quit smoking (mid jan) untill last sunday April 27th when i last got it cut i got it cut to 1 in. I've been washing my hair daily for the last 2 months with Nexus Aloe Rid shampoo. Since Thursday the 1st i've done the following: Thursday- 1 MAC treatment Friday- 1 Mac Treatment followed by Clear Choice Hair follicle shampoo and purifier Saturday- 1 treatment of the Clear Choice again Sunday- 2 MACs followed by the clear choice again. Monday (test day)- 2 MAC's again then followed by the clear choice one last time. So i waited all week then finally got the e-mail from my boss friday saying everything came back good and welcome to the team idk if it was the amount of time i had clean or all the diff methods i used but who cares i passed and i can smoke again =D

White male 5'11", 180 pounds, short thing brown hair. The last time I smoked was April 15th and before that time I was a pretty heavy user (3-5 bowls a day). I have my test in about an hour and this is what I've done in the past week to prepare. Wednesday - 1 MAC Thursday - 1 MAC Friday - 1 MAC Saturday - nothing Sunday - Zydot (only half because my hair is an inch and a half long) Monday - Rest of Zydot in the morning and another MAC an hour before test. I think I have a pretty good shot. I have also shaved any significant body hair just in case. I'll post my results when I get them. Wish me luck!

passed my test, 45 days clean, daily user before that, smoked A LOT. short hair (taken from head), about 3/4", psymedics did it. did about 10 macs in that time, but more importantly bleach/redyed 3 times. i also used ion crystal clarifying treatment, a strong deep cleanser. you can get it at sally. the rep. there said no more than twice a week. i did it each of the last 5 days. the package says 3-5 min for light buildup and 20 min for heavy. i went 20 min on, it doesnt hurt or harm ur scalp at all. used omni shampoo, but split a bottle of it into about 6 uses, instead of 2. didnt use zydot but im sure it wouldnt have hurt. if i had to do over again i wouldve done it. i really think the bleach and redye is the key though. thanks jerry g, you truly have achieved yokozuna.

Ok, here's the story: I'm 36, 6'0", 195 lbs, medium metabolism, brown hair. I smoked about half of a joint on Feb 1 so I was about 90 days clean for the test. I generally had smoked once a month before that. So, I'm a light smoker and I thought I would be ok, but I'm also bald so I was worried about a body hair test. Anyway, I trimmed my chest, arm and leg hair and bleached (20 vol developer) and redyed my pits once. Washed out the bleach and dye with Ion swimmers shampoo (with PG). Did three baking soda treatments and washed out with swimmers shampoo. They took pit hair. Its been a week and and I haven't heard any bad news, so I think I'm all set. Thanks everyone for the help.

Alright, first off I'd like to thank every single person that has taken the time to put their info in detail on this forum. Too bad I was too naive to put this website to use sooner. Anyway, I'm 5'10 160lbs white male, i have long, like shoulder length thin-avg dirty blonde hair, and I am a HEAVY smoker. Like 5bowls + a day, for the past 2 years. In the past 2 weeks I've lowered it to about 1 every other day, but my test is this wednesday, and I smoked tonight, I mean, if I had done my research sooner I would've stopped smoking like 2 months ago, but I figure at this point, whether I quit 3 days ago, or quit today, it won't make much of a difference, so if I pass I'll consider it the ultimate slap in the face to hair testers haha. I plan on posting my results on here the moment I get them, which is why I chose to post here, as well as, I figure I have the best chance of a quick reply if I post here, so to the moderators, please don't move this post. As for my treatments: A friend of mine referred me to the job and informed me last week they do hair tests, which he took last year and passed. He smoked two times about a month prior to his test (both times being peer pressure from me haha) and used Ultra Clean detox shampoo. Before I found this website I figured I'd do the same, even though I'm a chronic user, pun intended. Anyway, I bought a bottle of the Ultra Clean and a kit of the Zydot shit, both of which I plan on using the morning of the test. However: today I started with the Mac treatments, the first two rounds I did 15 min of white vinegar on, and then added the pink clean & clear astringent, and then I added some of the blue clean & clear gel (which also has the 2% acid) because it helped to foam up and spread all over my scalp, since I have so much hair, like a LOT of hair. then i added a big handful of Tide 2X detergent, and washed everything out. After rinsing all the Tide out, I used TreSemme Deep Cleansing shampoo which has both an EDTA ingredient, and Propylene Glycol, and then conditioning with some cheaper Garnier Fructis moister works conditioner. After repeating that for round 2, I got somewhat lazy and added to an empty shampoo bottle: half vinegar, 1/4 of the pink clean & clear, and 1/4 of the gel clean & clear, which when I stirred it together, created a slightly thicker liquid. I found this easier to apply and mix around all of my hair. I left this in for 20 minutes, and then washed it out again with tide, and then followed it with the same shampoo and conditioner wash. That was earlier today. Tonight, I read some more people's post, especially Jerry G's, where there is belief that bases are more effective than acids. So I opted for my first baking soda treatment tonight. I dumped about half a box of baking soda on my dry scalp to make sure it all mixed around without being caught in all my hair, and then I made a box and a half of baking soda paste. I added that and mixed it in as well as I could, and then wrapped it up in a towel for about 45 min. I washed it all out and then put more of the vinegar/clean&clear mix into my hair and massaged that in for about 10 min. I then took a wet towel and heated it to make it steaming hot and then wrapped it around my head for 20 minutes, and then washed everything out. I suppose I've done the equivalent of 4 Mac treatments so far, and my scalp already feels like I've had steaming hot volatile chemicals dumped on it. Regardless, tomorrow, Tuesday, I plan on doing a couple more Mac treatments periodically, and I'm thinking of bleaching and redying my hair later tomorrow night, probably going to do that twice if I have time, since I've read that the bleach/redye treatment seems to be the favored way to go. I'm also thinking of maybe doing one more baking soda paste treatment, and I'm going to spend at least an hour with my mom's hair straightener on full heat haha. I'm really open to anyone's opinions on what they think may help my situation. Please don't waste your time saying "you should've quit sooner man!" because it's fuckin obvious, but this is my situation and I'm dealing with it. I'm looking for people that have been in my shoes and what they think may help me. Does anyone think I should alter my regimen? Maybe theres an optimum time between treatments that I should use the detox shampoos? any input would help. Does additional heat (eg: hot towel around head) while doing the treatments actually help at all? I also have a question pertaining to my conditioner. I read someone else's post, saying that a cream conditioner creates a temporary barrier which prevents the toxins from exiting the hair shaft. If this is the case, I will definitely stop conditioning until the final treatment. Any help is appreciated! Wish me luck. ![]() THANKS YO!
