The hair on the back and sides of my hair are only about 3/4 of an inch long as conpared to the top which is 1 1/2-2 inches long. My question is will they take the hair from the top on my head before they go to my body hair since the back of my head is too short?

No one can predict for sure, but I think you'll be OK as far as the lab taking the sample from your head. They might take it from the back of your head from a couple different spots, or just take what they need from the top. Good luck.

depends on the tester; most likely they will still just take hair from the top of the head

Thanks...another question I have is that when I went and accepted the position, I was verbally told that I was going to have a drug test via hair analysis, however, when I signed the paper agreeing to the criminal background test, drug test, etc., it stated the drug test was by urine analysis. Can they still take my hair without me signing anything else or can they just give me a different waiver the day of the test?
