Do blood and urine tests administered by insurance companies test for the presence of marijuana? I took a blood and a urine test 6 years ago, and the company did NOT test for the presence of marijuana at that time. What about NOW? Thanks

MJ being medically legal in CA, my friend told me that if you get prescribed mj, you have to tell you insurance so they can label you as higher risk or something like that. I am not sure where he heard this but he does know a couple people with medical mj cards here so they might test for it. He also said you can still get in trouble for driving under the influence even if u have the card.

In my earlier post, I was not very specific. My question is whether or not the blood and urine tests performed by life insurance companies test for the presence of marijuana (mj). About 6 years ago, I took such an exam for some life insurance. At the time, the test looked for the presence of cocaine and nicotine, but not marijuana. I am going to take a medical exam for some addition life insurance. I am a regular user, 3 to 5 tokes per day, 5 to 6 days a week. I am in good shape. I haven't used in 8 days, and the exam has NOT been scheduled yet. Any advice or anecdotal information would be EXTREMELY helpful!
