I have a pre-emp drug test and physical coming up. I was going to sub but might be watched so I was gonna use aspirin. Now Im wondering what that would do to the blood test (if they give me one) if they were checking for any diseases/health problems. Has anyone had a pre-emp check up like this and used a lot of aspirin. I've taken 4 and passed a home test but might take up to 6 to extend my window. I really just dont know what to expect for the physical part.

i don't see why aspirin would cause any problems if they're looking for diseases and health problems. just pretend you had a really bad headache. but you can probably get by on just 3-4 if you time it carefully also. or maybe you can take some each day for about 5 days and let it build up in your system instead of taking a lot at once, according to Konagirl's ex-bf/lab tech. you say you're using aspirin, but are you also diluting according to the plan in the sticky with at least 2 or 3 quarts of gatorade and using the vitamin B2 and creatine too? did you also dilute for your home test? or how much liquid did you drink with the aspirin?

I posted my results in the results thread but I got the aspirin to work with only taking 4 at once, on an empty stomach, 30 and 40 minutes before two home tests I passed. I dont want to dilute because of the amounts of salt I would have to take and it might also dilute the aspirin in my system. I drank only a small amount of liquid with the aspirin to make sure it was very concentrated.

IMHO Gatorade probably has a high enough sodium content already built-in without needing to add extra salt. and i'm not sure where you got this idea of not diluting the aspirin, but it sure doesn't sound right. when it comes down to it, the salt is optional, and even the aspirin is optional as well, but the 2 quarts of liquid is not optional, that is the real key, if you did nothing else, you always have to start your base with the 2+ quarts, not the aspirin. I understand that the extra salt is recommended to help keep the specific gravity reading up, especially if you were drinking say a whole gallon of regular water, but if you only drank say only 2 quarts, like N2's method in his sticky thread, and make it Gatorade that the SG would probably be in the same neighborhood as it would if you added salt to a whole gallon of water. use your home test properly by diluting properly, and you would probably see the same or better results using just the 2-3 quarts without any aspirin at all, but the plan calls to use both for a reason. also the aspirin isn't really supposed to be taken just at once, but like a few per hour for a couple of hours, spread out a little to let it build up, so it will last longer, and it's supposed to take an hour or two to actually start working and then last for another hour or two, so your results are really contrary to the norm i guess, but maybe that's because you didn't drink the gatorade or anything. also, it shouldn't hurt to eat something light, i really don't think it's a good idea or necessary to take the aspirin on an empty stomach, i wouldn't, and it might make the effects stretch out properly if you tried that. good luck.

I was trying to find another way to pass the test without having to worry about pissing my pants in the car, in the waiting room and during the physical so I tried aspirin alone a couple different ways. I found 4 at once worked for me but obviously it would be different for other people depending on metabolism and if they ate anything or not. 4 safety coated, 325mg aspirin didnt make me feel sick.

This has really gotten off topic, I posted my results in other threads and was just wanting to know if people had used more than normal amounts of aspirin and ended up having a blood test. I am not trying to prove that aspirin worked or didnt work, with or without dilutiion. It worked for me and I shared my results, please post in that thread if you want to talk about it.

Back to the original question, has anybody had this happen to them?

So I've spent the last hour searching on google and it does look like aspirin will affect the results of blood tests. I couldnt find too many specifics as to how it would affect the results but for most of the blood tests, they say do not take aspirin among other things for 24-48 hours before the test as it will affect the results. Hopefully my drug test will pass with the aspirin and if anything they will ask for another blood test
