I have a hair test on Tuesday, March 22, and I shared a bowl with a friend on December 22, which is exactly 90 days. At the most, i took 4 hits, and have not smoked since then. I have had my hair permed and highlighted since then, but i am not sure if i had it cut or not....if i did, it was just a trim (for reference, my hair is short, down around my ears.) From everything i have read, i really should not be worried, but i am still freaking out! Can someone please give me their opinion? I was considering buying the Nexus Aloe Rid shampoo or the Paul Mitchell shampoo that was mentioned here in the forum. Any suggestions? I really don't want to go through the whole vinegar/cleansing thing for fear of ruining my hair. Thanks so much for your help and support!

I just wanted to add that i am a very infrequent smoker. Up until December, i think the last time i smoked was maybe in October (just a few hits), but it might have been more towards the end of summer. Thanks to anyone that responds!

Sunni ~ Honestly you'll prob. be fine....but why not use the aloe rid anyway just to be sure it doesnt hurt your hair at all...actually the mac method doesn't either your scalp my burn like hell!!!but it doesn't hurt your hair..I have long hair down past my shoulders, did the mac everyday alng with the shampoos, AND bleach on the day of and still my hair looks great..I passed and I was a very heavy smoker with 45 days clean..Good Luck !

Poptart~Thanks for the reply! I purchased the Aloe Rid shampoo and deep conditioning treatment, and have been doing that for the past 3 days. I am still debating whether to do the Mac method or not. My test is tomorrow morning, so i may do it before my test.....still undecided??!!
