Default youll be ok

im on accutane right now, and its working GREAT!! My side effects are very minimal.... chapped lips are the worst part so far. Id recommend it to anyone

Ive had three bloodtests already and nothing's shown up.

They have to have you sign a consent form if they are testing for the drug profiles....

and besides drugs arent metabolized in the liver and thats what theyre checking for

But if you are a minor your parents can sign the form for you without even telling you. Sucks doesn't it?

Isnt acutane the drug that causes some people to slip into uncontrolled depression and kill themsleves. I would rather live with the symtoms rather than risk that s.hit.

i used to be on accutane for my acne, and it worked great! don't fall for that crap that says that you will fall into depression. that's all bull. i was fine when i was on accutane, except for the dry skin side effects that i got. just put on some moisturizing lotion on our face in the morning and keep a stick of chapstick around to cure those dry lips.

I'm getting my last accutane blood test in about 5 days and its a relif to hear they won't know what I'm going to be at this weekend . Thnx a lot.

I've been having great results with accutane and my skin is almost 100% clear. The only side affects I suffered were dry lips/skin and I have a real hard time waking up some mornings. I haven't had a problem with the depression thing but I know for certain it is not a pile of crap.

One of my best friends used to be on accutane and almost lost his life because of it. He became depressed and even contemplated suicide. I advised him to stop immediately and he's been fine since he stopped. My point is that this drug can be mind altering and if anyone using it feels depressed for no reason STOP IMMEDIATELY!!

Thank you,
Yotops

Geesh! So many of you on Accutane! And this is a pretty hard way to fight acne, it's like when nothing one else work, Accutane is the last chance! So maybe you have very bad acne or else I don't know.

So if you are so many with that problem, I guess you are all teens (14-17)?

I wonder what is the average age of all visitors here..

I have 2x this age and oh! I'm stone (that's why I thought about this sightning )!.

Default Health insurance for accutane?

I'd like to thank blue haze for starting this thread. I see my dermatologist tomorrow and I was wondering if you guys knew if one needs to be insured for accutane. Im not very wealthy and my doc doesnt seem to want to put me on harder meds..and Im guessing its because I dont have the insurance

Accutane is for hormonal type of acne right? Im in desperate need to fix myself up because its totally messed up my self confidence and Im having a hard time being assertive all because of my f'n acne. If anyone has any advice or alternatives to harder meds please reply. thanks for all the help.

My husband was on accutane a while back.
It does cause depression in some people.
He had some problems with it.
Actually the proactive was the only thing that cleared it up.
It is not very expensive.
Later,
Turtle
