so i'm applying at a genuardi's and i know they use a saliva test. the last time i smoked was saturday night at around 11. i brushed my teeth very throughly yesterday and used listerine and right now i'm sucking on three altoids. i plan to brush again twice and rinse with listerine then suck on more altoids while on the drive over. i smoked rather regularily. should i wait another day or will i be okay to go now?

Most of the time this is the one million dollars question. By reading this board I would say you are all right now. I just wonder if gargling with dissolved aspirin would help you even more. Aspirin should interfere with the test. But I am not sure.

Clean Your Mouth the day Of The test, and take mints right before you go in. Don't say a thing about the mints,ect: Good Luck!!!!!

thanks guys. unfortunately they didn;t test/interview me today so i will have to wait a few more days to smoke. but on the brightside it gives me a few more days which can only help my results.

If I've only smoked once in the past six months, but it was 10 days ago, is there a chance that I can pass the test simply by putting the sponge between my teeth instead of inserting it between my teeth and my gums? The workers did not happen to pay very close attention and I managed to keep the sponge between my teeth the entire time and the sponge barely had any saliva on it.
