Hey everyone,

I have read a lot about the saliva testing here and it has been great help, but I have not read much about people who were more than occasional smokers getting saliva tested. I smoke daily, probably about half a gram a day. I got a phone call on Monday for a front desk position letting me know I was supposed to go in on Tuesday for a first interview, on about 24 hour notice. I stopped smoking just in case I did end up getting tested, however a friend of mine who worked there told me the test was on the second interview so I was fine, so I smoked just about one full bowl in a "normal" bowlpiece spread out over about 3 hours ending at midnight last night. I went in, got past the interview, he told me it would be Friday that I got tested, so I came home at 2:00 thinking, why not rip a bowl if I've got 72 hours. So I smoked (splitting a small bowl with a roommate), and immediately rinsed out my mouth with a combination of scope and hydrogen peroxide, which I have done repeatedly since I received the first phone call on monday. However, this afternoon I get a phone call from the manager requesting that I come in tomorrow at 1 for the test. I've continued to use my rinse of scope and HP, am brushing my teeth religously, and am planning on packing my mouth full of mints as soon before my test as possible and if anyone else as any other ideas on what do to please let me know. My question was however more precisely, do I even have a chance of passing this test tomorrow given that I have smoked very little these past 3 or so days. I'm going to keep this mouth washing up as often as I can until the test and do everything until then. Thank you for any advice or opinions on the likelyhood of me passing the test, thank you again...

Welll we're about 10 hours from the test, and my mouth is so numb I haven't tasted anything since lunch, and it's now about 2 a.m. but, hopefully it all pays off.. gonna stay heavily on top of it, use the mints and all of that, and hope for the best. Thanks for the vote of confidence Grill, I appreciate it. I will post here once I know how I did... thanks again... and hey worst case scenario I found a cool new place on the internet where I can speak my mind about the plant I love and learn some new things in the process, so not a total loss even if i fail, lol. But here's to positive thinking.

Hey! I'm in the same boat, different river! I am a heavy smoker, more than you. I had an interview last Friday and I hadn't smoked for 20 hours, just in case. I did the mouthwash and mint thing also. I am waiting for the results to be in, I posted in another thread and told the story in that one, long story short... I still don't know! When I called, they told me the results weren't back yet and I'm wondering if that's what they tell those who didn't pass? I may call back tomorrow.. Good luck with your results! I'll check back to find out your results and will let you know mine, if I call back.
