Ok, I know I'm probably just being paranoid, but hey who here isn't used to that feeling? I had a job interview today,and new it was coming for the last week. The last time I smoked was 2 Thursdays ago, so about 12days, and have only smoked 1 other time in the last 3 months before that, thanks to my mad crazy job hunt. I spent the past week chugging water like a freak, lifting and tanning and sweat whatever I could to clean my system. On Sunday, I was at a friends place just chilling playing games in the living room and everyone was passing blunts. I didn't smoke, but I know I was buzzed by the time I left, so that is kinda what started my paranoia about today's test. Then this morning I must of downed a gallon and a half of water in the 3 or 4 hours before the test. But then I get in there and find out its a saliva test, which until today I'd never even heard of before. (I really wish I'd of hit this site up earlier). So once again the element of the unknown makes me even more paranoid. I always wash my mouth with listerene for like 5 minutes each morning, and think that all the water I drank may of helped clean me out a bit too. I've read some of the other threads here, and its given me the idea that I should be fine.

Still I'm just hopeing for a second opinion and a little reassurance, that 12days since smoking, 2 times smoking in 3 months, a contact buzz on 2 days before the test, with regular listerene use, that I'll be fine on today's saliva test. I'll find out Thursday if i got the job or not, and will post back the results, but in the meantime what do you think?? Just being paranoid and nothing to even worry about??

I've done a lot of research on this and everything else, and although i too am worried about a saliva test tomorrow, I'm sure you're fine. 2 days being a light smoker, even if you had smoked the blunts, you probably would have been fine. In fact the few things you read on the forums about people failing saliva is either as Grillmeats mentioned in another forum, you were unprepared and didn't take the right steps to pass, or... you smoked within a very short period before the test, my best guess here is less than 24 hours for the non-chronic user seems to be adequate, although like it says here they can get you up to 48 hours later. So just being second hand smoke a couple of days ago, you're more than fine. Good luck at the new job, and I hope I pass my test just the same as you will :P. Hope that helps....

Gave a call to the HR manager today, and passed all tests with flying colors. I start my new job next Thursday. Thanks for helping get me through the last few stressful days. All's well that ends well.
