| I'm wondering if when determining custody if the state will do any testing. I smoked about 4 weeks ago then quit and took 4 or 5 hits about 5 days ago. I haven't started any proceedings yet but I'm wondering how that'll work. And if they do testing is it hair, urine, saliva or blood. I've made the decision not to smoke any longer. How long does thc stay in the hair for? I've never experimented w/ any other drugs before. Also, what exactly is the Maccujo method? |

| Usually, drug test in custody cases are only ordered if one side accuses the other of drug use. What kind of test?, well, I haven't seen everything, but I don't remember ever reading a report of court ordered hair testing. Quote:
Hope that helps. N2

| I have never been a MJ user until recently, my ex always was and even has a conviction for it. But during our recent custody dispute he accused me of being a meth user <~~~ TOTAL lie!! (2 totally different highs.. um hellooo.....) Anyways, we were both ordered to do random urine testing every single week, and I have always tested clean and some of them have been diluted (due to medical condition) but needless to say the judge wants answers for it and ordered me to submit a hair follicle test. keep in mind I had never done any drugs prior and was with my ex for 8 years.. who in anyone's right mind wouldnt try the "drug abuse" excuse unless they are grasping for straws since you would think that with my scenario it wouldnt hold water. but they always try and screw the true good people and somehow it works. dont be surprised if that one gets thrown at ya, but they dont order those things unless there is a history, and one party wants it done to the other, and in my case he threw this in at the very last court battle, needless to say it is now not our last hearing on this matter. best of luck. |

| Custody hearings are interesting. If your Ex thinks he or she can get custody if you are getting high, they will instruct their lawyer to demand a test before the hearing can proceed. I had a freind, who did that to his wife and got custody of the kids. She had to pay him support and could only have supervised visits. Be careful with it, because if you want to get custody latter on you'll have to go to rehab and consuling first. ![]()
