Okay, so I had an interview with Publix today, and didn't think that they would do a drug test on-site. It looks to be a basic saliva test, and after reading the forums here I think I have a good game plan for the next time.

Here's the problem though, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna bomb it. In a previous drug test that I bombed, I denied the results and tested clean the next time. I don't know if Publix has a strict policy, but I was thinking I could claim that the tests are wrong and use some of the suggestions to pass the next time.

Is there any theory that I can provide that might give my claim more validity? For instance, I hear that mints might taint the results...could I say I had just had some mints before hand? Or some other theory? Anything? I really hope I get the job...sucks being reduced to retail when you're a computer geek but thems the breaks! Thanx in advance!

Saliva tests are given because they are easy to do and ship. Grocery stores, retailers in general, do them for insurance purposes. If you are to fail this test, they will let you retest in a year. The mints help you pass, not fail. If you smoked pot the day of the test and didn't clean your mouth, you could be SOL.
Keep us posted, and be sure to ask them if you can retest if you fail.
