I was given a suprise saliva test at a job interview. I smoke about every day and I had last smoked about 20-22 hours prior to the test. I brushed my teeth but did not use mouthwash. I also drank a sh|t load of water and cranberry juice within that time period because I thought I was going to get a piss test. Also, the lady that gave me the test left the room while I was taking it. So, the whole time the swab was in my mouth, I didnt have it in the place where it should be (between gums and molars). Instead, I purposly moved the swab so it was resting in between my teeth and I tried to not get as much saliva as possible on it. It still got a bit of saliva on it but it never touched my gums for more than a second. They told me that the results would be in sometime this week. Probably around wednesday. I am really worried that i didnt pass and I would like to see what you guys think.

From what i have been reading 14 hrs is the max i think they can detect in a saliva test. Correct me if im wrong

We had a member fail recently at 14 hours, I always say 48 hours is safe, 72 is a Shoe In.

You should be fine, as long as you brushed in the morning. Gargling helps too.
