Hey Everyone,

I just thought I might share my saliva test experience.
So I got a call back from a job I interviewed with and they said that they wanted to do a second interview. Knowing that it would most likely be a drug test, I purchased the 'GO NUMBER #1' synthetic urine solution. Fully prepared I walked into the office expecting to piss in a cup, this was not the case. The man informed me that this wasn't really a second interview as they already decided they wanted to hire me, it was actually a drug test just as I expected. But instead of busting out with a cup, he brought out this little tube from a plastic bag and informed me that I would be given a SALIVA TEST!!!! This took me completely off guard as I had no knowledge of Saliva test times or anything related on how to get around the test. Plus, there was nothing I could do other than just take it. So here I am, a bladder pack with hand warmers strapped to my stomach and a Saliva test stick sticking out of my mouth. The process took about 3 minutes and after it was done I was sure I would fail. I had smoked two blunts at a friends house on Saturday late evening, the test was given to me mid-day on Tuesday. So that's like two solid days without smoking and bud. I did take a few pills and drank some alcohol though. Anyways, I rushed home and did all kinds of research on Saliva testing. I even read ever post on every page regarding this subject right here. My total time sober was about 63 hours, I took some pills (soma) and drank beer over that time and only brushed my teeth as I normally would. No mints, mouthwash, peroxide, or anything. Just brushed my teeth normally in the morning. So I take the test on Tuesday and I don't hear back until the following THURSDAY! I got the job, which tells me I passed the test. A little info on the test if you want to compare your experience.. it was a Intercept Mouth Swab which I held between my back teeth and gums for approx. 3 minutes. The sample was then sent off to Lab-One for analysis. I am not sure why it took so long. Maybe they found traces of the pills or the bud and had to do further testing, or maybe they had to send the sample across the states to some corporate office. Whatever the case, I had pretty much given up (after sweating bullets) on the job seeing as it took 9 days to hear back. In the end, I got the job and I start tomorrow (well, actually today). If anyone needs a 'GO NUMBER #1' urine kit, hit me up.

My stats:

Male
25 Years Old
Thin build (high metabolism)
Smoke bud once or twice almost everyday
63 Hours without bud prior to taking the saliva test
No mouthwash, mints, cleaning products.. only good ol' toothpaste.
Took a few pills and some drinks during the 63 hours, so I had toxins in my body.
Intercept Saliva Swab sent to Lab-One
9 days for results!
PASSED THE TEST!

So, I would say the GrillMeats suggestions should be plenty enough for someone to pass the test. I didn't know of this forum or anything about saliva testing until after I took the surprise test. After doing some major research, it appears as if a saliva test is generally designed to detect marijuana in someones system within 24 hours. Most of the tests websites show a heavy decline in detection within the 24 - 48 hour time range. I think if you are over 48 hours you have a very good chance of passing.

I hope this information has helped someone as a number of posts in this topic have helped me.. Even if it is just for some piece of mind.

Also, even though GrillMeats doesn't post here anymore.. I might try to get in contact with him so I can get my CHICKEN DINNER!!!!

So its May 3rd... which means I'm off probation. As far as I know it takes a week to get the results back.... and its been 18 days since I took the test and I haven't gotten a phone call or a letter or anything. no news is good news... in other words I PASSED!! hope this helped someone.

So I smoked at noon, went to job interview at 2:30 and was told to come back Friday for spit test as I expected. As I pull out of the parking lot my boss calls asking if I can come back at 4 to take the test so I can get started working. Being a dumbass, I agreed and had an hour and a half to get ready for the test. Rinsed with peroxide multiple times, brushed teeth twice, and rinsed with scope up until walking in the building....

AND PASSED.


The test is a sham...literally smoked 4 hours before and passed, and I am an extremely heavy smoker.

I smoked about 90 hours prior. I always floss, brush, and use mouthwash, although I didn't gargle with peroxide or anything like that. It took them forever to tell me, and I was starting to sweat, but I passed.

I was expecting a urine test for a job interview for a few days and being a chronic toker I knew there was no way to get clean in time. I acquired clean urine and had everything prepared to take the test and pass. The day of the test (today) I learned it was going to be a saliva test. I had smoked around 10:30AM as kind of a wake and bake before I so sneakily brought my newly acquired clean piss into the lab and give a big middle finger to the system. Of course I was freaking out, they had called me literally no more than 30 seconds after the last bong hit. I was freaking out and could find very little information on passing a saliva test without selling me something. I finally found this thread and followed the instructions. I thoroughly brushed my teeth, rinsed 3 times with listerine (a few different kinds) and popped altoids all the way up to the test.

They gave me the swab (not sure what brand, it had 3 different small sponges on it and then it clicked into a 3 hole base station and tested for 8 different drugs) and at the time I actually had half-dissolved altoid in my mouth. I began to swab my mouth trying to absorb as little spit as possible while trying to soak up as much of the altoids juice as I could.

10 minutes later my test was negative for all 8 chemicals. I couldn't believe it. I have absolutely no clue wether it was due to the listerine/altoids or if it was just karma (I have been getting dicked over on employment and consequently unemployed for almost a year). Either way, thank god for this thread because it gave me the courage to actually take the test knowing that I had somewhat of a hand up on the system. Now my stomach is rotten from ingesting 20+ altoids during the day and denying myself fluid to dry out my mouth. Time to go drink some beer and have a nice victory toke =)

25 year old female, 190lbs, daily smoker of at least 6 years, haven't taken longer than a week break maybe once a year.

Smoked last on Wednesday morning and was told about the test that afternoon, made appointment to take test Thursday morning. Brushed my teeth a few times Wednesday night and three more times in the morning, used alcohol-free mouth wash, and popped two small Altoids on the way to the staffing service before the test. Just being safe.

The test was administered and "graded" right there in the office, within 2 minutes she was able to tell me I had passed. Had the same kind of test as PsychOfMSE.

Good, I got the job, bad, they couldn't hire me after all because of they were already overstaffed. Buttheads.

im taking a saliva test on monday. I some 2-3 times a day for the past 2 years.
I SMOKED MY LAST DOOBIE ON JUNE 26TH
I SMOKED A ROACH ON THE 27TH at 7 pm= 2 hits
i am going to be tested on july7 which is 10 days of no smoking.=240 hours of no smoking.
i am going to follow grill meats advice. starting sat ,sunday and monday on the way there.
what do you think???
