I have a saliva test coming up (hopefully). I say hopefully because I will only have the test if I get the job offer, which I think will happen. I haven't smoked since Monday, and even though I have some fat nuggets I think I'll suck it up and abstain from smoking this weekend. I'm trying to think of all the pot and the new bong I'm gonna buy with job money. I'll post the results after I take the test, but considering as of right now its been 72 hours I should definitely be fine.

I went in for an Evaluation interview with my PO expecting a urinalysis by preparing via dilution/aspirin. The interview went great, but then he asked me, "So have you given us a drug screen yet?"

"Nope."

"Alright. Well, then I'm going to have you do one. Instead of the urinalysis, we're going to do an oral swab test."

FUUUUUUUUUCK! I know nothing about these!

He tells me to put under my tongue and make sure to get the cotton really wet, but fuck if I'm going out like that. I just held it in my mouth with the cotton part not really touching anything. He takes it after a couple minutes and seals it in a vial.

Of course, at this point, I'm freaking the fuck out since the last time I'd smoked was the night before (11-12 hours). However, I coincidently washed my mouth pretty good for the part of looking good for the interview, even using hydrogen peroxide and consuming about 1gal of water in the 3 hours prior, right up until my interview.

Can anyone give me a reasonable assessment of my chances?

Also, if I fail it, it would be my first fail during my probation (~1 month into it), but it would show to them that I am using. Can I ask for a retest? What might happen to me?

I imagine if it's positive, they'll call me. If not, they won't?

I have to meet with my probation officer tomorrow. She might administer an oral swab i am worried. I am 22 years old, i weigh 185 pounds, and im 6 foot tall. I smoked about a quarter ounce over the period of 2 weeks. I followed grillmeets suggestion. Hope she doesnt administer the evil swab. I havent smoked for about 132 hours. Will post the results soon.

EDIT: It's been over a week now with no phone call from the PO, so I'm going to tenatively say I passed.
