Default About blood test...

I`m a frequent user. I was smoking two times per week for last two weeks and almost everyday before for 2 years. I read on this forum that THC is detectable in blood for 72 hrs max. I have to pass a blood drug test from my vein. Here is a question to those who have passed blood test: was your blood taken from vein or from finger for example. I`m asking it `cause I`m from Russia and don`t know whether we have the same blood drug test.

I`ve got a blood test order. It`s written that blood will be analized on "AT-O", "AT-K" and "AT-Ko". I guess that "AT" means "AntiTela" - antibodies on Russian, O - opiates or smth like that, K - "konoplya" - cannabis on Russian, Ko - ??? have no idea...

I also would like to express some doubts about 72 hrs max:
1. It`s written on www.erowid.org (i guess the best site about psychoactives where i didn`t find any false info) that cannabis is detectable in the blood for approximately 2-3 days after use in an infrequent user. Frequent use can be detected in the blood for approximately 2 weeks.
2. I think that if THC metabolites can be found in urine for 30+ days, then they can be found in blood `cause their route looks like this: fat cells -> bloodstream -> urine.

Maybe I`m wrong....

Sorry for my far from perfect English.

I don't remember his name but a member on here posted that he quit smoking 3 days before his test and passed. My husband is a frequent smoker and passed his blood test after abstaining for about a week. When we spoke to Quest Diagnostics they were surprised his drug test was for blood rather than urine because drugs don't stay in the blood stream much longer than a few days.

As far as I know blood tests will always be taken from your vein and not finger. They have to draw a tube of blood and they couldn't get that much from pricking your finger.

John, What you said makes sense. I am not sure since I had never taken the blood test. I was supposed to take one but that did not pan out. I am very curious about it though. Please post your results in the poll at the following link
