I have a blood test next Friday (11/11) and I'm fairly certain that I'll test positive.

I'm not looking for a way to fake it, I know that's impossible. All I want to know is if they can determine HOW MUCH I've smoked.

For the past 6 months I have smoked every day, but when I found out on Tuesday, I decided to give it up until after the test. By that time, will enough THC have cleared my system for it to look like I smoke less than I do? Can they even tell?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

If you read any of the blood test threads you would know that thc only stays in your bloodstream for a matter of days. In order to pass you would need to be clean for a minimum of 3 days.

Actually, from what I read, that applies only to one-time or infrequent users. For chronic users, traces of THC will remain in the blood for approximately 14 days. Like I said, I have smoked every day for the past 6 months or so, generally upwards of a gram per day.

On Friday, it will have been 9 days since my last smoke. Though I'll probably be clean anyway by that time, given that I have a super-fast metabolism and exercise a lot, I'm just wondering if, hypothetically, they could determine HOW MUCH I smoke.

Guess you're right though, by that time even if I test positive, it'll be a very small amount. Sorry to bother you, I think I was just a little panicky at the thought of my very first test

I don't think you are bothering anyone here. Surreal and the rest of us are very curious about the blood testing. Please answer the poll and explain your statistics in the blood testing thread I provided for you below so others can see how long marijuana metabolites can show up in the blood.

FYI- My husband is a daily smoker and has passed two blood tests by abstaining for 5-7 days. Another member on here claimed to be a daily smoker and passed after only 3 days of abstaining.

And to answer your question, if you test positive the results will list the level detected. However, that doesn't mean they can determine that you smoke a certain amount each day. But it will show the exact level present in the blood.

That's what I figured. It's not all that important, because this is just for medical purposes, not legal or for a job or anything. It's just that I'm 18 and still in high school so my parents would know. They know I smoke, but I'd prefer it if they didn't know I smoke every day.

I apparently have a mild case of gyno, and they have to run a bunch of tests just to see what caused it. I'd rather not have a positive test for marijuana on my record though, even if that IS what caused it.

If everything shows up negative and they just tell me it's a coincidence, I'll assume it was the pot.

Anyway, yeah I'll be sure to respond to the poll when I get the results
