This is a message to people posting for info on taking the dreaded hair test.I will try list information that is important when getting ready to take this test and I am sure and hope, suggestions and facts/myths will be added to it. I am by know means an expert in this field as most information I have gathered is from my experience on this message board. This may be long and I am doing a list by numbers to help make it easier to sort thru CAPS ON FOR WHAT I THINK IS VERY IMPORTANT.Once again this ismy opinion take it or leave it. I'm not trying to discourage anyone from posting,but trying to help make your post more effective and there are MANY PEOPLE WAITING TO HELP MAKE YOUR CHANCES BETTER.Here I go:

1)STOP SMOKING NOW!!!!DON'T SMOKE AGAIN UNTIL AFTER YOU GET YOUR RESULTS!!!

2)When posting please provide your stats ie:height,weight,metabolism,how much you smoke,how often and for how long,how long have you abstained etc. the more info the better. We know you are nervous!Relax! A good post gets good results.

3)AT THIS TIME THERE ISN'T ANY MAGIC POTIONS OR PILLS TO PASS THIS TEST. On the same note it is passible(read the posts)I passed it by reading and taking suggestions. Hopefully you too can post in the results thread that you passed.

4)Most pre-employment test will go back 90 days. It takes at least 90 days to rid your hair(the 1-1 1/2 inches from the root used for testing) of THC metabolites. Find out how they get there by reading.

5)Myth:hair test can only dectect usage in the last 90 days.

6)Fact:Federal and State regulations on hair test are set at 90 days because of reliability. Scientist have found traces of (off topic drug) in mummies 500 years old.

7)Myth: A friend told me if I wash my hair with this product I will pass without any problems. Piece of cake!!

8)Fact: Read the results thread ,there is NOTHING 100% GUARANTEED that will make your test come back negative outside of never smoking pot.

9)Fact: SEARCHING THIS SITE AND ASKING QUESTIONS WILL GREATLY INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF TESTING NEGATIVE.

10)Fact: How much you smoke,how often and how long before you test makes a difference in your sucess.

11)Myth: If I shave my head,they will have to give me a different easier to pass test.

12)Fact:They will use body hair. If your shave all your hair you could possibly luck out,but if the lab calls the employer and says you don't have any hair and the employer says your had a lot of hair when you interviewed, you are probrably screwed anyway. They don't have to hire you.

13)Fact: Don't be surprised if you don't get the answer you wanted to hear.This isn't the Oprah Show(I do like her by the way)it isn't your fathers,mothers or anybody else's fault you smoke dope.It has nothing to do with your race,creed or color.You alone are responsible,you make the choice.
Now you are screwed and have to take a hair test because you chose to be a doper.

14)Fact:You will receive the help you need to make your odds better of getting a negative test result.

15)Fact:Unless you are as old as I am this probrably won't be the last drug test you ever take.I am not 100% sure it is my last one,but so far the company I am going to doesn't do random testing.That could change tomorrow.

16)Fact:Regardless of what we think marijuana,for now,is an illegal drug and not excepted by the society we live in,or it wouldnt' be illegal.

That is it for now. I hope everybody reading this has the same results that I got from the help from this site.Once again thanks to every post on this site,I think I read most of them and some of them twice or more.

After reading your other post your chances don't sound very good.

You don't have time to take a home test and with your smoking history I will be surprised if you pass. I am not saying you won't pass, just that it doesn't seem likely. Supposedly people with AA decent have a harder time passing also. Testing companies say color of skin has nothing to do with it but the results thread seem to indicate otherwise.

I found out Wednesday the 30th of March that,I passed my hair test. I had quit smoking on the 12th of March( 3 weeks prior to test time) I washed my hair in vinegar,astringent,liquid laundry soap and regular shampoo all in that order every night before bed and asked that no one come over & toke in my apt or jeep until I was called for my test.Which was on a Saturday on the 25th and that morning I went to a health surplus store and bouhgt a $35.00 bottle of hair cleansing shampoo. I was called on Mar 30th and told I was starting my new job on the 18th of April. Yes MCcujos' method did place an important role. Thanks for all the info.. you all rock. ps. I am going to toke to make up lost time. L.O.L

FANTASTIC!!!! CONGRATULAIONS!!!!!! I said I would be surprised if you passed and I am. I am also glad I was wrong. The Mac method and MJ.com does it again. Could you post the name of the shampoo that you bought? Thanks for posting your result.

The one piece of info. I am most interested in is, "How much/how often" did you smoke prior to the test? I am beginning to think this is crucial information for others that many forget to tell us. Thank you, and I hope you love your new job!!!

I've been following quite a few of your posts and have read the story you linked me to, but maybe I missed it....Did you pass or fail your test? I think we have a similar smoking history?
