I took about 6-8 hits of some strong weed 23 days ago. It is the only time I've smoked in about a year. I had to take a hair test today. How good are my chances for passing?

If you didn't do anything to your hair I would say not to good. Sorry, but just my opinion. Some may disagree. Isn't that the way it goes. Don't smoke for a year then hair test time.

Smoking one time will probably not put you over the threshold for a hair test.

Buzzby out of curiousity and for educational purposes could you tell me the difference in this scenario.
Smoking one time : 6-8 hits of high test
vs.
Smoking 6-8 times: 1 hit of high test
In the same 23 day period before a hair test would both pass?
I am not trying to start a debate or disagreeing with your answer. Just trying to further my education. I would discuss this in a PM if you would prefer instead of in a thread. Maybe you don't want to do either and that's OK too.

All drug tests have minimum thresholds. If your concentrations of THC metabolites are below that threshold, you'll pass.

Hair tests are primarily aimed at catching chronic smokers. An occasional smoker, whether it's six hits all at once or six hits over three weeks, is not likely to get his levels above the threshold. This is not carved in stone. Every case is individual.

Thanks Buzzby, I understand and knew about the threshold. I guess it comes down to the how much is too much. Basically a guessing game unless clean for the 90 days.
I hope Clancy will post the results, not to have a contest between us, I already know you are more experienced in this.
There are going to be a lot of job openings coming up at the place I just got hired at and they do hair test. I would like to be able to help some of them if I can. I have referred several to this site already. Some don't have a PC at their home and don't want to chance using a company one to visit here.

This is essentially my deal, too, except like 4 hits and it was my first time. After reading posts on here I think I will be okay if I have to take it in two weeks and this occurred 2/23 so....25 days ago.

You read right and you are right. You should be fine with a one time usage. It won't put you over the cut off point.
