| I know we already have a 'pass/fail' thread, but this is my attempt to get information from HEAVY/DAILY users only. I have spent more than a month going through the posts and have come to the conclusion that most daily smokers (such as myself) will fail this test even with 'preparations'. I hope we can keep this thread 'clean' of "will I pass questions" and results of "light to moderate" smokers. I think this will be helpful for many visitors? So, if you are a heavy or daily smoker (even if you have posted results elsewhere), please post here.I also have a particular interest in results from other Female daily users and/or individuals that cannot (or will not) "shave our heads" or "cut our hair shorter than an inch" as part of the preparation. Thanks a million!!!!! |

| I had been a daily/heavy smoker for at least 4-5 years when I failed a hair test back in like 1995-97ish for one of the (former) "Big 3" auto companies. It was one of the worst experiences in my life! I knew I had a test coming up so I quit and was clean for AT LEAST 100 days. I didn't do any prep for the test, especially since I interned there the summer before and all they did was take urine. It was such a crappy situation for more than one reason, but the worst was that the results came back after I'd ALREADY BEEN WORKING THERE, and they walked me off the job...it was humiliating. Not to mention that my dad, other relatives, and family friends all work(ed) at the plant, so....that majorly sucked! I quit smoking for almost 1.5 years because of it. ![]() As a side note, two other girls that were in the orientation were FREAKING out because they had indeed smoked over the last 90 days. I hadn't smoked even once in the prior 90 days, but I am pretty sure I was a much heavier smoker than either of them when I was smoking...this experience is also why I am thinking 'how much you smoke' is a BIG factor in passing or failing. Both of the other girls' dads worked in management...mine was a lowly "line worker", so maybe they never even sent the other girls' hair in for the tests? I have always wondered this and have read other posts mentioning this possibility. ![]() |
