Lets say you smoke in December. Then you quit. Two Months later, in February, you have a hair test. Hypothetically speaking, couldn't you just cut off an inch/inch and a half of your hair to get rid of the THC?

They test the inch and a half from the scalp up....

thanks for the reply. but say you cut your hair down to about 3/4 inch, that would hypothetically cut the detection time down, correct?

Approx. 1 month detection time for each 1/2" of hair. They usually use 1 1/2" and that gives approx. 3 month. So it would definitely cut the detection time exactly in half. BUT with only 3/4" of hair (say on your head) they may take hair from your body. Some posters in the results thread have reported their head hair was short and the collector took a sample from body hair that was the same length or shorter. It doesn't make sense, but that is what was reported. My hair was 1" give or take an 1/8" and the collector said "that was plenty."
Your best chance is to FORCE them to take the sample from the place you have treated. For example (not advice) shave all your hair except for under your arms or chest. That is where the sample comes from IF it's long enough.
Long answer to a short question, but I have to do that sometimes

Thanks man, that's exactly what i'm looking for. Much appreciated. I figured I would shave just about everything else off, and cut my hair to about an inch.. 3/4 inch possibly. Once again, thanks a lot man, you're the only guy that replied to either the two of my threads lol
